The posting

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop, test and maintain applications using .NET technologies. You will translate business and technical requirements into reliable, secure software, ensuring that solutions meet design standards, quality expectations and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development and Project Delivery:

  • Analyse functional and technical specifications and translate them into application designs and program code.
  • Develop and maintain applications using .NET technologies, following established architecture, coding standards and programming best practices.
  • Ensure application code complies with security guidelines.
  • Prepare and execute unit tests, document results and resolve identified defects.
  • Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production implementation.
  • Investigate reported issues, identify root causes and implement and test fixes to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Manage changes to software, hardware configurations and documentation in accordance with configuration management procedures, including identification, control and audits.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate technical and system documentation.
  • Deliver assigned work within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Collaboration and Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the team lead to ensure application designs and code meet architecture, functional and system requirements.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and work with Business Analysts to review and refine functional specifications.
  • Participate in peer reviews to improve code quality, maintainability and compliance with development standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and support successful delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience developing and delivering application software.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in application development or maintenance using .NET technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a positive attitude.
