Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.   • Manage, direct, and oversee store personnel and operations to ensure:
  • Maximum service delivery, technical accuracy, employee engagement, and satisfaction of all internal and external customers.
  • Initiatives and activities align with company goals, operational priorities, and manufacturer standards.
  • Improvement opportunities are identified and acted upon.
  • Adherence to company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • A culture of collaboration and teamwork is maintained across departments and with all other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Escalated issues are resolved decisively, promptly, and professionally.
  • Manage and oversee the operating statements for the store.
  • Work with marketing to develop a comprehensive territory marketing strategy to support the product line, attracting potential opportunities.
  • Manage and control the store’s inventory to ensure financial and utilization metric benchmarks are achieved.
  • Establish, enhance, and maintain superior customer service principles; follow up with customers to ensure their needs have been met; and intercede to solve problems and disputes.
  • Maintain relationships with local 3rd party vendors to receive the value proposition that is best for Cresco.
  • Oversee facility security. File police reports for missing/stolen inventory, as needed.
  • Monitor and coordinate branch safety program. Assist in the coordination and actively participate in the store safety committee; ensure store personnel attendance at weekly/monthly safety meetings; participate in shop inspections and safety committee meetings as required; and ensure that certified first aid personnel are available and have updated certifications.
  • Monitor and coordinate store facility, equipment, and crane maintenance and inspections; ensure inspections are up to date.
  • Collaborate with Safety personnel to maintain and train employees on the store’s emergency action plan contents and procedures.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to visit customers, develop territory, and attend meetings, training, and other events. Operate company or personal vehicle as needed.
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

JOB SCOPE

This position serves in the capacity of the Store Manager to provide direction and leadership to direct reports and fulfill company needs through this job function. General discretion and judgment are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. If errors in judgment or professional execution of responsibilities are made, the consequences to the department can be severe.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all employees at the store, which may include but is not limited to Mechanics, Drivers, Rental Coordinators, Dispatchers, Yard Attendants, and Assistant Store Managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and implementing corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. When work deficiencies are identified takes prompt and effective measures to correct areas needing improvement.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

Internal contacts consist of all levels of positions in the company from senior executives to entry positions. The position regularly deals with sensitive, personal, and confidential information involving specific employee situations, requests, and investigations as well as strategic business plans involving operations, acquisitions, sales, and restructuring. Extreme sensitivity is required in dealing with such information and decisions concerning the release or sharing of that information. External contacts may consist of lawyers, government representatives, applicants, customers, vendors, and consultants. This position involves an extremely high level of personal contact with individuals frequently holding adversarial views and expecting that their demands or requests will be satisfied.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of the equipment rental industry required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Effective leadership and motivational skills required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in the equipment rental industry; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience required

Pay Range: $101,863-$104,409-$114,596 DOE
