The Light Duty Vehicle Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of ProFrac’s light-duty vehicle fleet. This role involves ensuring that all light-duty vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with safety standards, and effectively utilized to support the company's operational needs. The Light Duty Vehicle Manager will work closely with the operations and field teams to ensure vehicles are available and reliable for all job sites. Essential Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the light-duty vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicle availability, reliability, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, including regular inspections, servicing, and repairs, to ensure the fleet is in optimal working condition.
Collaborate with operations and field teams to forecast vehicle needs and ensure timely vehicle allocation for various job sites and departments.
Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to provide insights and recommendations for improving fleet efficiency and reducing operational costs.
Maintain records of vehicle inspections, licenses, registrations, warranties, and insurance to ensure compliance with all legal and safety requirements.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for vehicle repairs, parts, and maintenance when necessary.
Prepare and deliver reports to leadership on vehicle utilization, maintenance activities, and cost-saving initiatives.
Implement and monitor safety protocols for vehicle operation, ensuring that all drivers are trained and vehicles are equipped with necessary safety features.
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the use, maintenance, and safety of light-duty vehicles, ensuring consistent practices are followed across the business. Regularly review and update SOPs as needed to align with operational goals and safety standards.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, automotive technology, or related field (preferred but not required based on experience).
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or a related role, preferably within the oilfield services or industrial sector.
Experience managing light-duty vehicles in a high-demand, operationally intensive environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, safety regulations, and fleet management strategies.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and leadership skills for working effectively with both internal teams and external service providers.
Ability to analyze vehicle data (fuel consumption, usage, maintenance) to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve fleet efficiency.
Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols for vehicle operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel to various operational sites as needed to inspect vehicles and oversee fleet operations.
Work is conducted in both office and field environments, with exposure to outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, and inclement weather.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds and navigate job sites with uneven terrain.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, depending on operational demands.
Must adhere to all company safety standards and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
