Role Summary

Proven ability to independently manage and complete projects. Has responsibility for complex projects and/or programs. Provides significant day-to-day project management direction and contributes to the identification and planning of broader objectives. Provides leadership in the development of strategic planning efforts for site master planning and new product conceptual studies. Leads complex projects that are critical to site business plans and product launches. Evaluates and defines approach for project execution. Requires interfacing with various Pfizer site locations, development organizations, and key business partners. Assumes full responsibility for a project, ensuring quality of all work carried out. Requires preparation of comprehensive internal and external presentations encompassing all relevant areas of a project is required. Displays a strong initiative and commitment to the successful, on-time completion of projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Translate site and enterprise strategy into a clear, prioritized portfolio of initiatives.
  • Coordinate and track strategic initiatives, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
  • Align cross‑functional teams and resolve priority or capacity conflicts.
  • Maintain strategy governance, cadence, tools, and visibility.
  • Good verbal and written skills. Must be able to articulate issues and solutions to the team and upper management.
  • Can produce high-quality project reports and presentations
  • Good leadership and team building skills capable of leading diverse multidisciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of commercial manufacturing requirements
  • Familiarity/experienced with technical transfer of vaccine and biotherapeutic products
  • Familiarity/experienced with biological CMC requirements
  • Understanding of Right First Time and Lean manufacturing tools and strategies

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with at least 4 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 2 years of experience or PhD/JD with any years of experience or associate's degree with at least 8 years of experience or high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • High level of expertise in project management. Demonstrates expertise in product lifecycle support that includes technology transfer, production, validation and / or commercialization of a biopharmaceutical drug substances and products and/or vaccines
  • Experienced project manager having demonstrated successful completion of major programs/projects as part of a team and/or in a project leadership role
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate solutions to complex problems which requires the use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Proven cross-functional exposure to at least two of the following areas: Engineering, Technology, Manufacturing, Quality or Materials Management, in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,200.00 to $165,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
