This role combines strong technical capabilities, quantitative problem-solving, and business understanding to transform complex data into reliable analytical assets, performance reporting, and meaningful insights.

Working closely with U.S.-based Performance Analytics and Insights (PAI) colleagues, the successful candidate will design, develop, and optimize analytical workflows, support recurring reporting, and translate business questions into evidence-based insights. The role contributes to strengthening Pfizer’s internal analytics capabilities through technical ownership, automation, continuous improvement, and collaborative delivery.

The position operates within PAI, part of Global Commercial Analytics (GCA), and does not involve people management responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities

Technical Development & Analytics Solutions

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics solutions using SQL, Python, R, and related technologies.
  • Build, optimize, and automate datasets, data pipelines, and reporting frameworks to support commercial performance measurement.
  • Engineer and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources to create robust analytical datasets.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality analytical assets, including dashboards, reporting tools, and reusable code libraries.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of existing analytics workflows through automation and process optimization.
  • Leverage AI, scripting, and emerging analytical technologies to increase efficiency and analytical capabilities.

Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Perform advanced analyses on patient, HCP, payer, and commercial datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Apply statistical, quantitative, and machine learning techniques to solve business problems and generate actionable insights.
  • Conduct data quality assessments, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and consistency of analytical outputs.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights supported by quantitative evidence.

Collaboration & Partnership

  • Partner closely with US-based PAI colleagues as the primary point of collaboration, supporting shared analytics priorities and delivering against team-defined requirements.
  • Translate information needs surfaced by PAI leads into robust analytical solutions, connecting datasets to tell a clear, compelling story backed by quantitative evidence.
  • Work with PAI and broader analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources and improve reporting processes, tools, and standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, business, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related technical analytical role.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, including the ability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and optimize analytical code for data extraction, transformation, integration, and analysis.
  • Advanced professional English proficiency, both written and verbal, with the ability to independently collaborate with U.S.-based stakeholders, discuss technical concepts, and communicate analytical findings clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and transforming data from multiple sources to develop accurate, reliable analytical datasets.
  • Ability to understand, modify, and improve existing analytical code, calculations, and reporting workflows.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured analytical approaches and independently deliver high-quality analytical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or commercial analytics.
  • Understanding of commercial performance metrics, including sales, market access, patient journey, or field force KPIs.
  • Experience supporting U.S. or global commercial organizations, preferably within international or nearshore analytics teams.
  • Experience developing, optimizing, or troubleshooting data pipelines, ETL processes, or automated analytical workflows.
  • Demonstrated contributions to improved analytical efficiency, cost reduction, reporting automation, or faster business decision-making.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
