WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU

Pharmaceutical Sciences Operations Quality is seeking an internal colleague for a 12-18 Months people manager secondment within BTx PSOQ Operations Quality. This role will provide coordinated local PSOQ Operations Quality support for St. Louis/Chesterfield while directly leading 2-3 PSOQ colleagues and contributing to the BTx PSOQ organization across St. Louis and Andover.

The successful colleague will strengthen local quality decision-making, people leadership, inspection readiness and cross-site ways of working in close partnership with Quality, manufacturing, laboratory, compliance, facilities, validation, regulatory and business-line partners.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

  • Lead and coordinate local PSOQ Operations Quality support for St. Louis/Chesterfield within the BTx PSOQ Operations Quality organization.
  • Provide people leadership to 2-3 PSOQ colleagues, including clear expectations for goals, priorities, development and performance.
  • Support timely execution and disposition of GMP operational activities.
  • Promote a science- and risk-based quality culture that enables sound decisions, early escalation and constructive Quality-business partnership.
  • Advance cross-site alignment through consistent practices, knowledge transfer, backup coverage and collaboration.
  • Help maintain strong quality systems, inspection readiness and sustainable continuous improvement.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

  • Provide local Quality Operations support for St. Louis/Chesterfield across manufacturing, laboratory, facility, validation and material-disposition activities.
  • Review or approve applicable GMP documentation, including investigations, change controls, procedures, commitments, CAPAs and risk assessments.
  • Coach colleagues on investigation quality, root-cause evaluation, escalation and consistent use of quality systems.
  • Support inspection and audit readiness through preparation, evidence gathering, response development and observation closure.
  • Partner with St. Louis business-line leaders and cross-functional teams to align priorities, share expertise and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to cross-site integration, knowledge transfer, backup coverage and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 2+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Operations or a related GMP function.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP expectations and ability to apply internal and regulatory requirements to operational decisions.
  • Experience with GMP documentation and systems, such as investigations, CAPAs, change controls, risk assessments, procedures, batch records, disposition or validation documentation.
  • Ability to assess complex issues, make science- and risk-based recommendations, recognize decision boundaries and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong prioritization, communication, collaboration, facilitation and influencing skills across functions, sites and organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated interest in coaching, developing and guiding others through feedback, delegation, project leadership or informal leadership.
  • Commitment to quality culture, continuous improvement, inclusion and constructive speak-up behaviors.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Mental agility to manage a large quantity and broad scope of quality assurance work.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Role is primarily office-based. Position requires walking, sitting, standing, and carrying batch records from one location to another.
  • Able to lead and/or participate in in-person or Teams meetings.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Role is a standard daytime 40-hour work week.
  • Adherence to Pfizer safety practices is a must.
  • It is not anticipated that this role will require business travel but it would be minimal if needed.
