Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support enterprise applications across development, testing and production environments, ensuring system reliability, security and performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues, conduct root cause analysis and resolve production incidents.
  • Maintain and enhance applications built using C#, .NET, PowerShell or Python.
  • Develop, troubleshoot and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and database integrations using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Support application interfaces and integrations involving REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP and other enterprise systems.
  • Manage application upgrades, patching, deployments, configuration changes and disaster recovery processes.
  • Support applications hosted on Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure, including databases, servers and network connectivity.
  • Drive application modernisation through DevOps, CI/CD, version control and deployment automation.
  • Participate in system implementation, migration and enhancement projects, from technical design through testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity and external technical teams to resolve issues and deliver system improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, automate processes and introduce emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.

Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise application support, application engineering or systems integration.
  • Hands-on experience supporting applications built using C# and .NET.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including querying, debugging and performance troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell or Python for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with REST APIs, system integrations and data interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, cloud-hosted applications and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Windows Servers, networking, DNS, firewalls, databases and application connectivity.
  • Experience in application troubleshooting, incident management, change management and production support.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git and application deployment processes.
  • Experience delivering application upgrades, system enhancements or technical implementation projects.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL or related Azure services.
  • Knowledge of SOAP APIs, SFTP and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Experience in database performance tuning and optimisation.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing and application monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to AI-driven automation or Generative AI applications.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, ITIL, PMP or PRINCE2.
