24 - 32 uur per week l Wigbolt Ripperdastraat (WRS) | Amsterdam

Beheers je gebarentaal, of sta je ervoor open om dit te leren? Op onze locatie krijg je hier volop de kans voor. Bewoners en collega’s helpen je hier graag bij. Wij zijn namelijk een CMB (communicatief meervoudig beperkt) locatie, wat betekent dat de cliënten doof of slechthorend zijn. Ook een deel van je collega’s is doof of slechthorend, waardoor gebarentaal een belangrijk onderdeel van de dagelijkse communicatie vormt.

Jouw werkplek Op de WRS wonen 14 bewoners met een (lichte) verstandelijke handicap en zijn doof of slechthorend, wonend in een eigen appartement. Zij variëren in leeftijd tussen de 23 en 70 jaar. Er zijn 2 ontmoetingsplekken waar we samen met de bewoners maaltijden voorbereiden en activiteiten organiseren. Deelnemen aan de maatschappij met werk of dagbesteding is belangrijk. Je komt in een enthousiast team met 10 collega’s. Het appartementencomplex ligt op een mooie plek in Amsterdam West. De WRS is goed bereikbaar met het OV. Je kunt gratis je auto parkeren onder het complex.

Wat maakt deze plek zo mooi? De bewoners begrijpen de wereld niet altijd op de manier waarop jij of ik dat doen. Jij bent degene die vertaalt, uitlegt, ondersteunt en afremt waar nodig. De kleinste vooruitgang voelt hier soms als een grote overwinning.

Wat ga je doen? Als woonbegeleider bij de WRS ben jij de schakel tussen dove en slechthorende cliënten en hun dagelijkse vragen rondom wonen, communicatie en eigen regie. Je maakt communicatie toegankelijk, brengt rust en structuur en helpt mensen hun zelfstandigheid te versterken. Dit is werk waarin je elke dag leert, groeit en zichtbaar verschil maakt. Wanneer je nog geen gebarentaal beheerst zal je de eerste 5 maanden bezig zijn met de training NGT 1 (Nederlandse Gebaren Taal) welke elke week 1,5 uur zal duren. Wanneer je NGT1 hebt afgerond ga je beginnen met deel 2. Ook is er nog een 3e verdiepingstraining.

Elke werkdag is anders en heeft zijn eigen dynamiek en uitdagingen. Dit betekent:

  • Ondersteuning in het maken van eigen keuzes;
  • Netwerk verstevigen of vergroten;
  • Invulling van de dagritme, creëer van ontwikkeling mogelijkheden.

Je werkt onregelmatige diensten dag-, avond,- weekend,- en slaapdienst.

Je hebt:

  • Een afgeronde mbo-opleiding niveau 3 of 4 op het gebied van Zorg en Welzijn;
  • Interesse en ervaring met het werken met (dove bewoners) een (licht) verstandelijke beperking;
  • Affiniteit met regelarme zorg;
  • Gebarentaalvaardigheden is een pre, heb je geen gebarentaal ervaring dan bieden wij scholing aan.
