Who we are

Picogrid is a leading venture-backed defense technology company founded to bridge the decades-long gap between modern technology and the critical demands of national security. Our mission is to deliver an operational advantage to secure the United States and its allies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Inventory & Receiving Specialist at Picogrid, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations powering our hardware development and manufacturing infrastructure.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on professional eager to take ownership of our stockroom operations and grow alongside our supply chain team. In this role, you will manage material receiving, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure manufacturing has the continuous resources required to succeed. You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to master our product lifecycle, uphold quality standards, and drive operational efficiency.

For a dedicated and proactive individual, this role offers exceptional visibility and a clear trajectory for professional development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive, inspect, document, label, and properly store incoming components, assemblies, and materials.

- Perform inventory transactions accurately and consistently within our inventory systems.

- Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure materials are stored in the correct locations.

- Perform cycle counts and help investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

- Pick, kit, stage, and move materials to support manufacturing needs.

- Maintain appropriate material identification and traceability throughout receiving, inventory, and production.

- Help identify shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, and other issues and work with the appropriate team members to resolve them.

- Support shipping, receiving, and other material handling activities as needed.

- Follow established receiving and inventory procedures while providing feedback on opportunities to make them better.

- Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to keep materials moving and support changing production priorities.

- Help document and improve inventory and receiving procedures as our operations mature.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in receiving, inventory, warehouse operations, stockroom operations, material handling, or a related environment.

- Experience receiving, storing, picking, counting, and moving physical inventory.

- Experience performing inventory transactions using an ERP, MRP, warehouse, or inventory management system.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.

- Ability to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities.

- Willingness to perform hands-on warehouse, receiving, and material handling work every day.

- Ability to recognize problems, communicate them clearly, and help drive them toward resolution.

- Dependable and comfortable taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations.

- Ability to lift and move materials consistent with warehouse and receiving responsibilities.

- Ability to meet the export control requirements outlined below.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, robotics, automotive, or another hardware manufacturing environment.

- Experience in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.

- Experience working at a startup or growing hardware company.

- Familiarity with production material control, kitting, work orders, or manufacturing support.

- Experience working with serialized, lot-controlled, or otherwise traceable inventory.

- Experience performing cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies.

- Experience helping improve warehouse layouts, inventory organization, receiving processes, or SOPs.

- Exposure to ERP or MRP implementations, migrations, or process changes.

- Interest in developing broader skills in inventory operations, material control, manufacturing operations, or supply chain

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
