The posting

About Us: Piermont Bank is a boutique specialty commercial bank focused on serving modern businesses with a digital first approach. As the first cloud native bank launched in the United States, Piermont was built on modern infrastructure that allows us to operate with greater flexibility, efficiency, and scalability than traditional banks.

We combine disciplined commercial banking with innovative technology to deliver value added solutions for small and medium sized businesses and our fintech partners. Our team is dedicated to thoughtful risk management, strong client relationships, and building a bank designed for the future of financial services.

The Role: The Title and Escrow Relationship Manager will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer and will be tasked with driving account and deposit growth for the bank, with a particular focus on developing relationships within the title insurance companies, escrow agents, settlement, and real estate closing services. The ideal candidate should be a seasoned banking expert with an entrepreneurial mindset driven by continuous growth and improvement to maximize the client experience. This individual will be responsible for cultivating new deposit relationships across a broad range of commercial clients while also developing a strong network within the title and escrow community and positioning the bank as a trusted financial partner to businesses with complex deposit, escrow, and treasury management needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth of deposit relationships with commercial businesses, title insurance companies, real estate escrow providers, closing services, real estate-related businesses, and other organizations maintaining significant operating or custodial deposit balances.
  • Identify and secure new clients to build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities and deliver against sales targets, including building a network of key decision-makers and referral sources within the title, escrow, settlement, and commercial real estate communities.
  • Partner with prospective title and escrow clients to understand their unique account structures, transaction activity, liquidity requirements, and treasury management needs, and deliver appropriate banking solutions.
  • Responsible for all phases of the client service and sales life cycle including lead generation, utilization of relevant systems, adherence to policies, leveraging product knowledge, and assessing the broader banking needs of prospects.
  • Support deposit-related marketing and business development strategies by actively participating in relevant trade, community, and client networking events, particularly those serving the title, escrow, settlement, and real estate industries.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with trade associations, cooperative councils, the financial community, title and settlement industry organizations, referral partners, and other institutions to enhance new business generation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales track record in generating new deposit business and developing meaningful commercial banking relationships.
  • Ideally, proven success in developing relationships with title and escrow companies, large institutions, non-profits, and/or other specialty sectors.
  • Experience developing business within or has operating experience within the title, escrow, settlement, real estate services, or similar deposit-intensive industries is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the banking and treasury needs of title and escrow businesses, including operating, custodial/escrow, and high-transaction-volume account relationships, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in using tools such as Softpro
  • Strong business development skills and a demonstrated ability to independently source and develop new relationships.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial real estate banking experience is preferred.
  • Experience calling on and working with commercial businesses and senior-level financial decision-makers.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to identify and pursue new markets and business opportunities.
  • Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
