NACE Level II Painting Inspector (Quality Control)

Job Brief

We are seeking one (1) highly qualified NACE Level II Painting Inspector for an immediate start on an industrial project based locally in Adelaide, SA. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing quality control, surface preparation audits, and protective coating verification on industrial assets. If you hold a valid NACE Level II credential and are ready to execute technical reporting immediately, apply today.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Control Audits: Conduct strict visual and technical inspections of surface preparation, blasting profiles, and multi-coat paint applications.
  • Technical Reporting: Complete accurate inspection logging, environmental parameter tracking (humidity, dew point), and compliance reporting as per project standards.
  • Specification Compliance: Read, interpret, and enforce engineering specifications, international standards, and strict asset owner quality requirements.
  • Defect Identification: Identify, document, and report any coating defects, failures, or application non-conformance issues to site management.
  • Site Safety Compliance: Work safely at heights while conducting asset asset assessments and strictly follow site safety procedures, SWMS, and WHS guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid AMPP / NACE Level II Coating Inspector Certification (Mandatory).
  • Current Construction White Card (Required).
  • Current Working at Heights certification (Required).
  • Proven practical experience in industrial coating inspection, asset maintenance, or heavy industrial quality control.
  • Excellent technical English communication skills (both written and verbal) for complex report writing.
  • Must currently live in Adelaide and be readily available to start immediately.
