The posting

This position will be a dynamic and results-driven Product Manager that will lead the development and management of our protective product lines. This role involves overseeing product lifecycle management, conducting market and competitive analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in Product Management, with experience in Personal Protective Equipment (Respiratory PPE) being strongly preferred. This position reports to the Director of Product Management.

Please note: This is a product management role for physical respiratory safety products. We are seeking candidates with experience managing tangible manufactured products rather than software, SaaS, or technology platforms.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Strategy & Development: Identify market opportunities and define strategic plans for product categories, incorporating customer insights, competitive analysis, and industry trends to maximize profitable growth for assigned categories.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring timely execution of product development, sourcing, and launch initiatives.
  • Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and product messaging.
  • Supplier & Inventory Management: Collaborate with global sourcing teams and suppliers to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability. Manage excess and obsolete inventory plans.
  • Quality & Compliance: Partner with testing agencies to coordinate compliance and standards testing. Monitor and address customer complaints and quality issues.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market data to guide decision-making and forecasting.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Act as a product advocate and work with stakeholders across Sales, Design, Production, and Operations to align product initiatives with business goals.
  • Customer & Market Engagement: Collaborate with Marketing on Voice of Customer (VoC) research, attend industry trade shows, and support field sales activities to gather market feedback and promote product adoption.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel within North America for field sales support, distributor meetings, and industry events. Occasional international travel may be required to visit suppliers and sourcing teams.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Product Management, preferably within an industrial or PPE-related business.
  • Proven ability to use financial principles, market dynamics, and business strategies to drive product profitability and sustainable growth in an industrial business.
  • Collaborative mindset with a history of working with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operational stakeholders to create solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); data entry skills a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
