planeground is looking for an Airport Civil Engineer who has an affinity with the future of airports.

As a Airport Civil Engineer, you join our team of experts and lead and manage the design and development of airport projects to ensure they meet the highest standards and expectations.

Within our projects, you will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to understand their needs and to get to the heart of their requirements. You’ll be responsible for developing the right solution, not just any solution – even if that means trying something new and resisting well-trodden paths.

Profile

As an Airport Civil Engineer you are responsible for providing planning and consultancy solutions on the development of airside civil infrastructures and (airside) master planning to our clients and assisting in the provision of project solutions in a multidisciplinarian environment and airport operational processes.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar related Engineering, with a focus on airport design and development.
  • Five to ten years of experience in consulting engineering, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills,
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to achieve the set goals.
  • A passion for creativity, digitalization, and sustainability.
  • Familiarity with the most current and latest software.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and with an entrepreneurial attitude.
  • You are a team player and have strong communication skills in English. German or Dutch is a pre.

Responsibilities

  • Provide geometrical design of airside infrastructures, civil engineering and construction consulting, airport masterplanning,
  • Executing airside safety, capacity and operational studies using relevant software (e.g. Aviplan, Airtop simulation software).
  • Assessments of airside asset serviceability and planning studies on renovation and rehabilitation measures of airside infrastructure
  • Planning support at the interface of terminal to airside / apron area incl. operational requirements for aircraft handling and GSE operations.
  • Produce relevant technical modelling and drawing work in all its aspects.
  • Elaboration and implementation of new (sustainability/innovation driven) methodologies for airport development decision making.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and successful delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
