AR CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

THE RUNDOWN

This AR Credit & Collections Specialist will work with the corporate finance team on the management of all open accounts receivable. The focus of the position will be internal & external daily communication in an effort to reduce outstanding receivables and mitigate any potential bad debt exposure. The person in this role will support the Credit & Collections Manager by providing updates on aged receivables and reports on collection efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

· Monitor outstanding accounts receivable across all divisions and follow up directly with customers on aged accounts receivable

· Assist with new customer onboarding process into internal finance system

· Coordinate with internal departments on their outstanding accounts receivable to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner

· Research reasons for past due balances and notify customers with past due balances

· Document daily collection activity and provide regular updates via reporting in financial system

· Identify bad debt exposure to sales and the finance team

· Assist in identifying gaps and recommend improvements on collections process

· Other job-related duties as assigned

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 2 – 5 years relevant work experience in Accounts Receivable department

· Strong financial acumen

· Experience working in Netsuite or similar system

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powepoint, Excel)

· Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and follow up

· Strong analytical thinking and problem solving

· Must be able to exercise independent judgment or identify when assistance is needed

· Ability to manage multiple projects timely and accurately

· Superior verbal and written communications skill

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· This role is a sedentary role and takes place in a quiet-office setting

· Travel on rare occasions may be required for company-wide events
