Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Threat Intelligence Investigator to join our Corporate Security team at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).

In this role, you'll play a key part in identifying, investigating and responding to security threats and incidents that could impact our people, platforms, studios, business operations, assets and reputation.

You'll use investigative methodologies, open-source intelligence (OSINT), threat assessment techniques and intelligence systems to evaluate threats, conduct investigations and deliver actionable intelligence that supports informed security decisions.

Working closely with global teams across Corporate Security, Consumer Services, Online Safety, Moderation, Human Resources, Legal, IT Operations, Engineering and our studios, you'll help ensure threats are identified, assessed and managed effectively.

You'll also collaborate with law enforcement agencies and external partners, contribute to intelligence reporting and support proactive initiatives to strengthen our global security capabilities.

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on investigations with strategic threat intelligence in a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Threat Investigations: Lead and support investigations into security incidents, threats, policy violations and potential corporate security breaches across SIE platforms, services and operations, ensuring appropriate escalation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Evidence Collection and Analysis: Gather, preserve and analyse investigative material, including CCTV footage, access control records, OSINT, internal reports and other relevant evidence. Conduct interviews and fact-finding enquiries to establish timelines, identify behavioural indicators and assess risk.
  • Threat Assessment and Response: Receive, evaluate and prioritise threat reports, assessing credibility, severity and potential impact. Make timely, risk-informed decisions and escalate credible threats in accordance with established protocols.
  • Case Management: Manage investigations end-to-end, maintaining accurate case records, investigative documentation, evidence and reporting within relevant case management systems.
  • Intelligence Development: Collect, analyse and disseminate actionable intelligence to support threat management, operational decision-making and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Emerging Threat Monitoring: Conduct horizon scanning and monitor emerging threats, trends, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to identify risks impacting SIE employees, platforms, studios, operations and reputation.
  • Intelligence Reporting: Produce clear, objective investigative reports, intelligence assessments, threat trend analyses, operational briefings and strategic risk assessments for relevant stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with global teams across Corporate Security, Online Safety, Consumer Services, Moderation, HR, Legal, IT, Engineering, GSOC and studios to coordinate investigations, threat response and intelligence sharing.
  • Law Enforcement Engagement: Liaise with law enforcement agencies, statutory bodies and industry partners, escalating credible threats and supporting investigations through evidence-based reporting and information sharing.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure investigative activities, threat management processes and information handling comply with SIE policies, investigative standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including the Digital Services Act where relevant.
  • Operational Reporting and Improvement: Monitor case trends, workload, performance metrics and investigative outcomes. Contribute to process improvements, post-incident reviews, lessons learned and operational capability development.
  • Broader Security Support: Support knowledge sharing, training, event security planning, additional investigations and other Corporate Security initiatives as required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
