Pre-K Assistant Teacher:

The assistant teacher will assist and support the classroom teacher in providing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate program and environment where children have the opportunity to develop social-emotional, language, intellectual and physical skills. Also, the assistant teacher should be able to respect and support the family unit in their efforts to raise their children to become well-rounded individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing classroom activities.
  • Support child supervision, engagement, and guidance.
  • Help prepare instructional materials and classroom setup.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and families.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related Field
  • CDA Credential, Specialized Age Group Certificate
  • Two years (2,500) documented work experience
  • Must have some knowledge of early childhood education – coursework or prior experience.
  • CPR Certification required within 2 months of the date of hire.
  • Current clearances: PA Child Abuse, NSOR, FBI/State Police.
