The posting

Role Overview

The organization is seeking a Cybersecurity Sales Director to build and lead its revenue operations in the Philippines across two business lines: Advanced Managed Detection and Response (AMDR), Compromise Assessment, External Attack Surface Management (EASM), and observability services, including the distribution of a cloud observability and security platform.

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Organization

The organization helps businesses in the Philippines detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats. Its services include Advanced Managed Detection and Response (AMDR), alongside a cloud observability and security platform covering infrastructure monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), logs, Cloud Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and cloud security.

The Role

You will own the sales strategy, pipeline, and revenue targets for both business lines. You will directly win and grow enterprise accounts while building a reseller and partner channel to expand the platform's market presence.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can close deals while simultaneously building and leading a sales team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy and Growth

  • Define and execute the go-to-market plan for AMDR and Compromise Assessment services, as well as the observability and security platform, in the Philippines.
  • Own annual revenue, bookings, and gross margin targets for both business lines.
  • Identify priority industry verticals, including banking and financial services, insurance, business process outsourcing (BPO), telecommunications, retail, and government.

2. Enterprise Sales

  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), and heads of IT and engineering.
  • Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, multi-year contracts, and renewals.
  • Expand existing accounts through cross-selling AMDR services and additional modules of the observability and security platform.

3. Platform Distribution and Channel Development

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, including joint business plans, deal registration, and partner sales targets.
  • Recruit, enable, and manage local resellers, system integrators, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
  • Execute joint marketing activities with technology vendors and channel partners.

4. Team Leadership

  • Hire, coach, and lead account executives, channel managers, and pre-sales engineers.
  • Establish sales processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and a regular pipeline review cadence.
  • Work closely with technical, service delivery, and customer success teams to ensure smooth sales handovers and strong customer retention.

5. Market Presence

  • Represent the organization at industry events, briefings, and executive roundtables.
  • Monitor the local cybersecurity threat landscape, competitors, and regulatory requirements, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) cybersecurity requirements.
  • Secure all mandatory certifications required to offer cybersecurity services locally.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in enterprise technology sales, including a minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity, cloud, or observability.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a sales team, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • An established network of IT and security decision-makers in the Philippines.
  • Experience selling managed security services and software subscriptions.
  • Experience working with technology vendors and channel partners in a distribution or reseller business model.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat detection, SIEM, cloud security, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills in both English and Filipino.
  • A bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience selling a cloud observability, security, or monitoring platform, such as Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, Elastic, or CrowdStrike.
  • Experience selling into regulated sectors, particularly banking, insurance, and government.
  • Relevant industry certifications.

Core Skills

  • Consultative enterprise selling.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to engage credibly with cybersecurity buyers.
  • Sales pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
  • Reseller and channel partner management.
  • Commercial judgment, including pricing and contract negotiations.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation.

Key Attributes

  • A builder mindset and the drive to win new accounts.
  • Integrity and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong coaching and team development capabilities.
  • Resilience when managing long sales cycles.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
