Candidates with experience in banking, manufacturing, retail, or similarly complex, multi-unit business environments are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-range financial plans in coordination with business units and department heads.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, analyze variances, identify key drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, profitability assessments, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze revenue, costs, margins, operating expenses, cash flow, and other key financial indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare financial projections and sensitivity analyses to assess the potential impact of business decisions and changing market conditions.

Business Partnering and Strategic Support

  • Partner with business leaders and functional heads to understand business performance, evaluate financial implications, and support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for management.
  • Challenge assumptions, assess business cases, and identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency, resource allocation, and overall financial performance.
  • Support strategic projects, business expansion initiatives, capital allocation, and other management decisions through financial analysis and modeling.
  • Promote financial accountability across business units by strengthening budget ownership and performance monitoring.

Management Reporting and Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare timely and accurate management reports, financial dashboards, and performance presentations for the CFO and senior leadership.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial results across multiple departments, business units, branches, or operational segments, as applicable.
  • Establish and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators to support business reviews and management decision-making.
  • Provide clear explanations of financial results, material variances, emerging trends, and potential business risks.
  • Improve reporting processes, analytical tools, and financial planning methodologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and visibility of business performance.

Financial Controls and Process Improvement

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial planning data, assumptions, and management reports.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and other Finance teams to align financial forecasts and management reports with actual financial results.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis processes.
  • Support the development of standardized financial reporting frameworks and planning tools across the organization.
  • Assist the CFO in evaluating financial risks, resource requirements, and business performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, management reporting, financial analysis, or a similar finance function.
  • Experience handling complex financial data, consolidated reporting, or financial performance across multiple business units, departments, branches, or large-scale operations.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate financial information into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems, BI tools, or financial planning systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and work across different business functions.
  • Experience in banking, manufacturing, retail, or other complex operating environments is preferred.
  • CPA certification is not required; relevant FP&A experience and demonstrated business impact will be given strong consideration.

Key Competencies:

  • Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Financial modeling and scenario analysis
  • Commercial acumen and business partnering
  • Management reporting and performance analysis
  • Data-driven decision-making

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
