Job Description:

Float School LPN Position – Spanaway, WA - Interviewing now! | $35-45/hour | Starting ASAP

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-Time (5 days/week)
  • Assignment: Float nursing position - district-wide
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Districtwide LPN float position providing nursing coverage at various school locations as needed.
  • Schedule and assigned school locations may vary, with shifts starting as early as 6:00 AM.
  • Must be flexible and comfortable supporting a variety of student medical needs, nursing responsibilities, and school environments.

About the Role Hello, LPNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care for students in Spanaway, WA. This role focuses on supporting medically fragile student and/or diabetic students throughout the school day, potentially including transportation needs. What You’ll Do

  • Provide nursing support to students in school
  • Assist with safe transfers, including on/off the school bus
  • Monitor student health status and respond to medical needs
  • Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
  • Support student access to school throughout the day

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Washington State LPN license (DOH) or Compact Multi-State Nursing License
  • Experience with trach care, G-tube preferred.
  • Highly flexible and adapatable nurse
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
  • Reliable, attentive, and comfortable in a pediatric setting
