Special Education Resource Teacher – High School

$45-$50/hour | San Lorenzo CA | Full-Time | 2026-2027 School Year | CA Special Education licensure

Position Details:

  • High School Caseload: 26-28
  • Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
  • Starting September 2026 for the entire school year
  • Active SPED credential required ​

About the Role Provide specialized instruction, develop and manage IEPs, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Teaching 4 periods working with students, 2 periods for prep/case management.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide specialized instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning
  • Deliver research-based interventions based on individual student needs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation and progress reports
  • Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
  • Collect and analyze assessment data to guide instruction and eligibility decisions
  • Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Valid California Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist license
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of classroom experience
  • Flexible team player
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams & students
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
