The posting

Xebia is a global AI-first, digital transformation, and engineering partner. With over 25 years of experience and a team of 5,000 professionals across 16 countries, we help organizations design and build scalable products, platforms, and data-driven solutions.

We specialize in Artificial Intelligence, Data and Cloud, Intelligent Automation, and Digital Products, combining deep technical expertise with a strong focus on engineering excellence and a people-first culture.

In the CEE region, we’re a team of nearly 1,000 experts delivering modern applications, data platforms, and AI solutions for clients such as Millennium, ING, Play, Edenred, Arabian Drilling, FedEx, Leroy Merlin, Truecaller, Volotea, Schmitz Cargobull, and many, many more. We work with leading technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake, and combine strong engineering culture with a consulting mindset and a continuous focus on growth and knowledge sharing.

You will be:

  • Leading product discovery, prototyping, and customer validation for an AI initiative.
  • Working closely with a dedicated team of two software engineers to guide rapid prototyping and iterative product development.
  • Understanding customer workflows, identifying key problems, and defining product hypotheses to validate.
  • Engaging with 2–5 existing customers acting as design partners during the initial development cycle.
  • Planning and facilitating customer interviews, prototype testing sessions, and feedback discussions.
  • Translating customer insights and business needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and a prioritized scope.
  • Collaborating with engineers and the client’s technical experts to assess feasibility, dependencies, and integration constraints.
  • Coordinating validation of the working solution using real customer projects and data.
  • Evaluating customer feedback, product usability, business value, and willingness to pay.
  • Participating in weekly planning sessions with the client’s product counterparts and presenting progress during regular product demos.
  • Ensuring product decisions and prototype scope support future integration with the client’s existing products.
  • Presenting validation findings and recommendations to stakeholders to inform go/no-go decisions.
  • Supporting further development and integration if the initiative passes the initial validation phase.

This is a freelance project expected to last approximately five weeks.

Your profile:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, including work on new digital products or product capabilities.
  • Practical experience leading rapid prototyping, MVP, or proof-of-concept initiatives with software engineering teams.
  • Strong product discovery skills, including customer interviews, problem identification, hypothesis validation, and feedback analysis.
  • Experience working directly with customers to validate early product concepts and assess their business value.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and prioritized development scope.
  • Experience testing prototypes or early product versions with real users and using feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Ability to assess customer value and commercial potential, including willingness to pay.
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers and technical stakeholders without being responsible for hands-on implementation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make pragmatic product decisions, and manage uncertainty in short development cycles.
  • Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Chat, or similar) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in analysis and software delivery.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

  • German language skills.
  • Experience working on AI-powered products or AI-enabled functionality.
  • Familiarity with AI capabilities such as speech-to-text, document extraction, or processing unstructured information.
  • Experience with early-stage product development and 0-to-1 initiatives.
  • Knowledge of construction industry workflows, construction management software, or tendering processes.
  • Experience introducing new capabilities into existing software platforms.
  • Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily analytical and documentation work.
  • Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. automation of analysis tasks, AI-supported documentation, or workflow optimization), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
