General Function: Ability to perform standard break-fix triage for hardware and software on end user systems.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required: * A+ minimum, will be required to obtain many other certifications (net+,server+, HP, IBM, and Dell specific) * Mechanical Aptitude * Troubleshooting (flow chart style) * Customer service/relations skills * Able to work unsupervised * Able to be a team member

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to sit; talk or hear, in person and by multi-media; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are frequently required to walk, stand and move about to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must have ability to ascend and descend stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. * Able to lift 75 pounds * Good Hygene

Mental Demands While performing the duties of this class, employees are regularly required to effectively use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; learn and apply new skills and information; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; and interact with colleagues, Clients and Vendors. Specific incumbent must maintain composure in a fast paced, high quality environment where personal and team accountabilities are the defining factors.

Technical and professional requirements:

  • Ability to walk long distances between factory buildings, including using stairs
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Customer service
  • US citizen or green card holder
  • Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screen (THC is not approved on this account even prescribed medically) **Must be willing to submit to 2 background checks, one by Pomeroy and one by end client**
  • Be willing to sign a NDA (if 3rd party) no client data can be used outside of their facility.
  • Understanding of high security environments a plus

Technical competencies:

  • Familiarity with Windows 11
  • Understanding of data backup/restoration
  • Outlook PST exporting knowledge
  • Familiarity with SCCM, and Intune a plus
  • Previous experience with PC refreshes preferred
  • Imaging experience
  • Device troubleshooting
  • Good documentation skills
  • Other application positives: Zscaler Bitlocker Trellix Yubikey Tachyon Azure/Entra/Intune cloud
