A day in the life:

As a Systems Administrator, you keep Power Digital's core platforms running and well-governed. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT, you are the hands-on administrator for Google Workspace, Okta and Slack, and you support Power Digital's (PDM) internal business functions as we integrate newly acquired companies into our systems. Your days blend hands-on admin work (provisioning, policy configuration, integrations, escalations from the IT Helpdesk) with documenting standards and automating repetitive tasks so the team scales cleanly. You work Pacific Time business hours alongside a distributed IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Google Workspace end to end: users, groups, shared drives, security and DLP settings, retention, and third-party app access
  • Administer Okta as a primary admin: application integrations (SSO/SCIM), groups and group rules, lifecycle automation, MFA and sign-on policies
  • Administer Slack: workspace and user settings, app approvals, channel governance, retention, and integrations
  • Support PDM business functions with system configuration, integrations and Tier 2 troubleshooting escalated from the IT Helpdesk, and lead the systems workstreams (tenant consolidation, migrations, app onboarding) for acquisition integrations
  • Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
  • Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
  • Other applicable or related duties as assigned.

Role Requirements:

  • 3+ years administering SaaS platforms for a company of 1000+ people
  • Hands-on Google Workspace administration experience (super admin or delegated admin)
  • Hands-on Okta administration experience: app integrations, SSO/SCIM, group rules, lifecycle policies
  • Slack administration experience (Business+) [Confirmed license tier]
  • Scripting or automation experience, e.g., Okta Workflows, Google Apps Script,
  • Vendor management experience is a plus.
  • Clear written documentation habits; able to explain technical changes to non-technical teammates
  • Advanced spoken and written English (B2 or higher) and availability during Pacific Time business hours

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Tier 2 Resolution SLAs – 90% of escalated systems tickets resolved within SLA (P1 in <4 hours, P2 in <1 business day, P3 in <3 business days)
  • Joiner/Mover/Leaver – 100% of access provisioning completed within 1 business day of request; 100% of leavers deprovisioned in Okta within 24 hours (same day for involuntary terminations)
  • Change Hygiene – Zero unplanned, admin-caused outages in Google Workspace, Okta or Slack; 100% of production configuration changes logged in the change log with rollback notes
  • Automation – At least 2 recurring manual admin workflows automated and documented per quarter (e.g., Okta Workflows, Apps Script)
  • Acquisition Integration – 90%+ of assigned integration milestones (tenant migrations, Okta app onboarding, Slack consolidation) delivered on the agreed date

  • Be the reliable Tier 2 escalation point behind the IT Helpdesk
  • Automate the repetitive so the team scales without adding headcount
  • Make acquisition integrations predictable: on time, low drama, no surprises
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical teammates and stakeholders
