About the Position

We’re looking for someone who knows how to keep the goods moving. As a Lead Receiving Associate, you’ll be on the front lines of our warehouse operations—unloading inbound material, counting and verifying shipments, labeling, and making sure everything is put away where it belongs. You’ll help guide daily workflow on the dock, pitch in alongside the team, and serve as a go-to resource for questions or issues. Our jobsites across the country rely on our distribution center to get the building materials they need—making your role essential to keeping projects on track and customers happy. Sound like an opportunity you’d be interested in? Apply to Power Design today!

Position Details/Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring shipments are verified and documented.
  • Count, label, and tag incoming material accurately, keeping records aligned with purchase orders.
  • Assist with put-away to ensure material is stored efficiently and clustered by project.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, carriers, and vendors during deliveries.
  • Maintain data accuracy in the warehouse management system and report discrepancies.
  • Keep the receiving dock clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
  • Work closely with team members and support training of new associates on equipment and processes.
  • Proactively flag damaged, missing, or incorrect material and help resolve issues quickly.
  • Step in to support supervisor responsibilities during their absence.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.

You Will Also Need to Be Able To

  • Lift up to 49 pounds regularly and push/pull carts up to 60 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout your shift.
  • Use carts, dollies, and other gear to move items.
  • Work at heights (up to 40 feet) if required.
  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of warehouse or receiving experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to become certified).
  • Ability to read and interpret long or complex part numbers.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and Excel a plus).
  • Strong math skills for counting and verifying material.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a team-first mindset.
  • Friendly and helpful attitude, even when things get busy.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work on time.
  • Demonstrate and uphold Power Design’s core values: integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
