Technical Product Manager Practice By Numbers | Gurugram, India
Industry: Dental SAAS Technology — US Market Product Stage: 0-to-1 Greenfield Build Location: Gurugram, India (In-office) Employment: Full-time Experience: 6+ years in Product Management
About the Company We are building a next-generation Practice Management SAAS products for dental practices across the United States. Our goal is to modernize the daily clinical and operational workflows of dental practices, from scheduling and charting to billing and insurance, with intelligent automation at the core.
About the Role As the first Technical Product Manager for the dental (medical) platform, you will own the product end-to-end — from initial discovery and strategy through to launch and post-launch iteration. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Tech Lead, dental domain experts, and founding team to shape what this product becomes. This is a 0-to-1 role: high ownership, high ambiguity, and high impact.
Key Responsibilities Own the product roadmap from scratch — define vision, prioritize ruthlessly, and make clear trade-offs aligned with business goals and customer needs. Lead continuous customer discovery with US dental practices — dentists, office managers, front desk staff, DSOs, and billing teams — and translate insights into precise product requirements. Write detailed PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable the engineering team to build with confidence and speed. Drive 0-to-1 execution: take the product from concept to MVP to GA, managing scope and velocity with a bias for shipping and learning. Partner with the Tech Lead on architecture decisions that impact product capability, scalability, and compliance (HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, EDI 837/835). Define and track North Star metrics, KPIs, and success criteria at each milestone — own the data story, not just the feature list. Benchmark competitors — Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental — and identify clear differentiation opportunities. Actively use AI tools (LLMs, AI prototyping, analytics assistants) to accelerate discovery, documentation, and decision-making. Work with Agentic Coding tools (Claude Code or Codex) to get small features developed directly. Must be able to generate and iterate designs with AI tools
Required Qualifications 6+ years in product management, with at least 2 years owning a 0-to-1 or early-stage SaaS product. Strong data fluency — able to define metrics, work with usage data, and drive product decisions from evidence, not intuition alone. Technical literacy: comfortable engaging with engineering on API design, integrations, and system architecture trade-offs. Basic understanding of deployments, release branches, Cloud Servers etc Proven ability to write structured, detailed PRDs and work in an agile delivery environment. Ability to work both hands-on and guiding the team members to pull-up the complex products. Hands-on practitioner of AI tools — uses LLMs, AI research tools, and automation to work faster and smarter, not just aware of them.
Nice to Have Prior experience in healthcare, healthtech, or dental-adjacent domains with working knowledge of US dental workflows — scheduling, charting, billing, insurance claims, treatment planning. Exposure to dental integrations: imaging platforms (Dexis, Carestream), labs, e-prescribing, or clearinghouses. Familiarity with dental industry standards: ADA/CDT codes, insurance eligibility, ERA/EOB processing, and HIPAA compliance in product design. Experience incorporating AI/ML features into clinical or administrative workflows — smart scheduling, AI-assisted charting, revenue cycle automation.
Preferred Educational Background Bachelor's or Master's degree from IITs, IIMs, BITS, or equivalent top-tier institutions. Strong academic foundation in engineering, computer science, or business — domain curiosity and first-principles thinking matter more than the exact degree.
