Prairie Family Medicine is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to join our front office team as a Medical Office Support / Receptionist!

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 5 days per week
  • Monday–Friday
  • Friendly, supportive, and fun work environment
  • Busy, fast-paced family medicine clinic

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Greeting patients and making them feel welcome
  • Answering phones and scheduling appointments
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Verifying patient information and insurance
  • Assisting with general front office duties
  • Working alongside a great team to keep our clinic running smoothly

What We're Looking For:

Someone who is organized, reliable, enjoys working with people, and can juggle a few things at once, because let's face it, there's never a dull moment in healthcare! Medical office experience is a plus, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and being a team player are just as important! We work hard, help each other out, share plenty of laughs, and truly care about the patients we serve.If you're looking for a great team, a positive atmosphere, and a place where your work makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you!

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in family care office.
  • Typing Skills: 45 wpm minimum.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification, preferred

General Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
  • Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.
