Job Summary and Purpose:

The Lead, Business and Competitive Intelligence is responsible for coordinating intelligence workflow, scoping projects, gathering information, and supporting prioritization across the PFM Analyst team to effectively support business growth across both Clinical Solutions and Translational Sciences.

The Lead, Business and Competitive Intelligence will serve as a key point of contact for PFM commercial teams on intelligence projects that support business growth.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and subject matter expert support to Analysts to promote high-quality work, consistency, and strong execution.
  • Coordinate and help prioritize daily work across lead qualification, research, and landscape analysis; promote strong research methods, stakeholder communication, CRM hygiene, and on-time completion of deliverables.
  • Support periodic outreach projects focused on securing new and repeat business from current and prospective biotech and pharmaceutical companies
  • Liaise with the Marketing and Lead Generation teams as appropriate
  • Responsible for updating appropriate sales, lead generation, and project management systems in a timely manner to ensure high standards of data integrity
  • Share best practices and support onboarding and skill development across the team to strengthen quality and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to and maintain shared guidance for research and lead-management processes, data accuracy, and documentation standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in a marketing/communication/science or business-related discipline/or equivalent experience in a marketing/communication/business development/sales environment
  • Possesses a keen understanding of the CRO and Specialty Labs market and the role that Precision plays in that environment
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an analytical sales support infrastructure
  • Direct B2B sales experience in life science industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lead generation tools and processes

Preferred Education & Experience (optional):

  • Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel including overnight stays
  • Reads, writes, speaks fluently, and comprehends the English language
  • Drive and determination to succeed as well as meet and exceed targets and quotas
  • Must be adaptable, professional and motivated and understand the sales cycle
  • Experience in either the CRO/pharmaceutical industry, or the life sciences industry
  • Exhibits high self-motivation, and can work and plan independently as well as in a team environment
  • Focuses on continuous improvement, including the ability to make proactive assessments on how to make processes more efficient and people more effective
  • Communicates both verbally and in written form in an exemplary manner
  • Conducts formal presentations to a wide variety of audiences including scientific /sales/marketing teams
