The Incident Management Specialist serves as the central coordination point for the organization's incident management program. This role is responsible for reviewing, triaging, routing, and monitoring incident reports while supporting regulatory reporting requirements and maintaining accurate documentation. Working closely with operational leaders and the Clinical Risk Management team, the Incident Management Specialist helps ensure incidents are managed effectively, timelines are met, and communication remains clear throughout the incident management process.

Key Responsibilities: · Review, evaluate, and process incident reports submitted through enterprise reporting systems. · Coordinate the timely routing of incidents to appropriate Clinical Risk Specialists and operational leaders. · Classify incidents according to established organizational guidelines and reporting requirements. · Facilitate state-required EMT reporting and other regulatory submissions within required deadlines. · Monitor incident progress and follow up to ensure cases move efficiently through the incident management process. · Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records within the incident management system. · Communicate with staff and leaders to obtain missing information and support reporting compliance. · Provide guidance and customer support regarding incident reporting procedures and processes. · Prepare routine reports and summaries related to incident activity and program performance. · Support the Clinical Risk Management team during significant organizational events and initiatives. · Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: · Associate degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare or quality-related experience. · Bachelor's degree preferred. · One year of experience in healthcare, quality improvement, compliance, risk management, or administrative support preferred. · Experience utilizing electronic documentation or reporting systems preferred.

Additional Qualifications: · Ability to research, interpret, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and certification standards related to client or patient events. · Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. · Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Proficiency with electronic reporting and documentation systems. · Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. · Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work independently while following established procedures and guidelines.

Physical Requirements · Work may be performed in office, clinical, residential, and community-based environments depending on assignment. · Regular use of office equipment, computers, electronic systems, and related technology. · Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work at a computer for extended periods. · Work schedules may occasionally include evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended hours based on operational needs. · Performs sedentary work involving exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. · Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
