Flat Rate Technician

Preston Auto Group has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and experienced Automotive Flat Rate Technician. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles to manufacturer standards while delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced dealership environment.

You'll work alongside a skilled team and utilize modern diagnostic equipment to perform efficient, quality repairs that help deliver an exceptional customer experience. If you're looking to grow your automotive career, Preston Auto Group offers ongoing training and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and computer system issues
  • Road test vehicles and use diagnostic equipment as needed
  • Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Advisor
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts
  • Maintain an accurate record of parts and time on each repair order

Requirements

  • 1+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
  • ASE certification a plus, or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Own tools preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
