Senior Research Engineer / Scientist – proteinanalys och SPR

Vi söker en senior forskningsingenjör eller scientist till ett konsultuppdrag inom bioprocessutveckling i Uppsala. Uppdraget passar dig som har gedigen laboratorieerfarenhet inom proteininteraktioner och vill driva experimentell metodutveckling i en internationell forskningsmiljö.

Om uppdraget

Du kommer att arbeta med utveckling av analytiska metoder för att karakterisera monoklonala antikroppar, med särskilt fokus på glykosylering och nanobodies. Arbetet tar vid efter lovande inledande experiment och syftar till att utveckla ett robust analytiskt koncept inom Process Analytical Technology (PAT).

Rollen kombinerar praktiskt laboratoriearbete, avancerad bindningsanalys och nära samarbete med forskare och projektintressenter. Du förväntas självständigt driva arbetet framåt, dela kunskap och förankra experiment och slutsatser i ett internationellt, tvärfunktionellt team.

Arbetsuppgifter

  • Planera och genomföra experiment inom glykosylering och nanobody-bindning.
  • Utveckla, optimera och felsöka SPR-analyser för karakterisering av bindning, affinitet och kinetik.
  • Utforma experimentella kontroller, koncentrationsserier samt strategier för sensorytor och infångning.
  • Utvärdera om bindare kan särskilja relevanta glykanmönster och bidra till snabbare analys nära processen.
  • Förbereda prover, reagenser, sensorytor och instrumentmetoder.
  • Analysera sensorgram och experimentdata, bedöma datakvalitet och föreslå nästa steg.
  • Dokumentera metoder, resultat, avvikelser och slutsatser på ett strukturerat och spårbart sätt.
  • Presentera framsteg, risker och rekommendationer samt bidra till teknik- och metodval.

Kompetens och erfarenhet

Vi söker dig som har:

  • Doktorsexamen inom exempelvis biokemi, bioteknik, molekylärbiologi, proteinvetenskap, analytisk kemi eller biofysik. Alternativt masterexamen med omfattande motsvarande forskningserfarenhet på senior nivå.
  • Dokumenterad praktisk erfarenhet av SPR-system, inklusive styr- och utvärderingsprogramvara.
  • Djup förståelse för bindningskinetik, affinitetsanalys, analysutveckling, kontroller, sensorytor och datatolkning.
  • Erfarenhet av att utforma och genomföra utforskande laboratoriestudier där metoden inte är fördefinierad.
  • Förmåga att felsöka bland annat proteiner, bindare, prover, buffertar, ospecifik bindning, regenerering och varierande analysdata.
  • Erfarenhet av nanobodies, antikroppar, glykobiologi, glykosyleringsanalys, lektiner eller glykanspecifika bindare.
  • Erfarenhet inom biofarmaceutisk processutveckling, PAT, analytisk utveckling eller reglerad forskning och utveckling inom life science.
  • Erfarenhet av FIDA eller andra kompletterande metoder för proteinkarakterisering.
  • Erfarenhet av produktutveckling, verifiering/validering, projektledning eller tvärfunktionellt tekniskt ledarskap.
  • Förmåga att självständigt planera experiment, analysera resultat, dokumentera slutsatser och definiera praktiska nästa steg.
  • God vana av samarbete över geografiska och ämnesmässiga gränser.
  • Flytande engelska i tal och skrift samt vana av Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 och strukturerad experimentdokumentation och datalagring.

Du är vetenskapligt nyfiken, analytisk och pragmatisk. Du trivs med att testa hypoteser, lära av experiment som inte ger förväntat resultat och anpassa angreppssättet med bibehållen struktur. Rollen kräver självständighet, initiativförmåga, gott vetenskapligt omdöme och tydlig kommunikation.

  • Placering: Uppsala.
  • Omfattning: Heltid, huvudsakligen på plats eftersom arbetet omfattar praktiska laboratorieexperiment.
