The posting

What we build

Most companies find out about supplier insolvencies, cyber attacks, factory fires or floods that affect their supply chain when it's already a crisis. Prewave exists to change that. We're an AI-native company giving BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa real-time visibility into supply chain risks before they become headlines.

We're looking for a Technical Operations Specialist (f/m/d) who takes ownership of the data-focused, technical side of getting our platform to work for enterprise customers from day one. Someone who uses AI as a default part of how they work - and knows when to trust their own judgment.

What you'll own

  • Translate customer requirements into technical reality - setting up new customer environments, tailoring the platform to specific client needs, and optimising existing environments as those needs evolve
  • Handle bulk data updates and large-scale data imports, working directly with our databases and keeping data quality high across the system
  • Act as the technical escalation point for support and implementation teams, troubleshooting backend roadblocks and solving unique technical challenges for existing accounts.
  • Join customer calls when needed to walk them through a technical topic in clear, simple language, helping them get the most out of the platform
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to troubleshoot technical roadblocks, solve unique customer challenges, and help build automations

What we are looking for

You are the right fit if you:

  • Bring 2-3 years of experience in a Technical Operations, Technical Support, or database-focused operational role (data management, data quality)
  • Have solid working knowledge of SQL and feel confident working directly with backend databases to query, modify, and manage data.
  • Have strong tech-savviness and Excel skills, with the ability to navigate complex backend tools and enterprise platforms.
  • Can translate technical details into simple language for non-technical colleagues and customers
  • Are highly reliable and detail-oriented - careful and methodical when working with enterprise-scale data
  • Are familiar with, or willing to work in, a fast-paced scaleup environment
  • Are fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Hold a valid work permit for Austria

Nice to have:

  • Scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python
  • Fluent German
  • Experience in SaaS and digital-solutions companies
  • A degree in a quantitative or technical field, e.g. Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Maths or Business Informatics
  • Previous experience in a technical support role, procurement, or supply chain environment

What's our working style

We're a resilient AI-native team building an AI-native resilience product - and we hire for both. For us, AI-native has always meant humans and AI working together, not one replacing the other. We use tools like Claude and Gemini as a normal part of the job, to think faster, work smarter and spend less time on the repetitive stuff. We treat AI fluency as a skill like any other - something you build, experiment with and keep developing.

What goes with that is real ownership. You'll have the space and the trust to figure things out your way - with a strong team around you and plenty of support when you need it. Things move fast here and the brief won't always be complete, but that's what makes the work interesting.

The people who do best at Prewave are curious by default, go after things rather than wait to be handed them, and don't lose their footing when the plan changes.

We score six values in every interview - creating positive impact, optimising for customer value, being an ambitious innovator, operating with urgency, doing things that make sense and collaborating with kindness - so you always know what we're looking for and can prepare accordingly.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
