The posting

We’re looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join Procore’s IT Infrastructure & Operations organization on the Digital Employee Experience team. In this role, you’ll help improve how IT operates by turning loosely defined business problems into clear processes, actionable requirements, and measurable results. You’ll bring a structured, data-driven approach to understanding how work gets done, identifying root causes, and designing improvements that reduce friction, cost, and risk for Procore employees.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll partner with project managers, process owners, engineering teams, system administrators, and vendors across a varied portfolio of initiatives. Your work will span systems and business domains, with an emphasis on process reengineering, practical data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. If you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity and following improvements through to results, we’d love to hear from you.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Digital Employee Experience. Austin is the preferred location, with other locations considered for the right candidate. In-person collaboration may be needed for workshops and working sessions. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and workshops to understand current processes, clarify business problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Map current-state workflows using flowcharts, swimlanes, and other process documentation, making ownership, handoffs, dependencies, and gaps clear.
  • Design future-state processes with practical guardrails, defined responsibilities, and success measures that support consistent execution.
  • Identify the data needed to understand a problem, organize and reconcile information from different sources, and conduct targeted analysis to explain what is happening and why.
  • Partner with technical specialists when data extraction or deeper technical expertise is needed, and translate findings into clear visuals and recommendations.
  • Turn improvement opportunities into actionable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that connect proposed changes to business objectives.
  • Work alongside project managers and process owners to evaluate options, surface tradeoffs, and support delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives and operational issues.
  • Support testing, stakeholder validation, and operational readiness to ensure changes meet business needs and work in practice.
  • Follow improvements through implementation, assess results against success measures, and recommend adjustments where outcomes fall short.
  • Communicate findings, risks, and decisions clearly to operational and executive audiences, and develop reusable process documentation and standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, process improvement, or a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated experience improving or reengineering business processes, from understanding the initial problem through implementation and measurable outcomes.
  • A structured, analytical approach to identifying root causes, organizing incomplete or unstructured information, and using data to support decisions.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and experience creating process maps and clear visuals using tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or Miro.
  • Experience translating business needs into requirements, workflows, user stories, or acceptance criteria.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, including building relationships with process owners and working effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, adapt as needs change, and maintain follow-through and accountability across teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT, digital workplace, or IT service management functions is a plus. Experience in a SaaS company is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, or Agile is a plus. Related certifications are welcome but not required.

This role values transferable analytical and process improvement skills across technologies. SQL development, data engineering, and expertise in a specific enterprise platform are not required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
