The posting

Your mission

As a Technical Writer (working student) you will be responsible for our technical documentation platform ProGlove Documentation. You will join an established agile product development organisation willing to continuously improve, welcoming you to be part of our future growth. Our work environment is built on support, respect, open-mindedness, teamwork and a high level of autonomy. This role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical documentation within a modern hardware and software product environment. Your day-to-day will also consist of mainly these topics:

  • Ensure every product release is fully documented and usable on day one
  • Communicating with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive technical documentation for our newest products & features
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ProGlove documentation platform
  • Help maintain consistent documentation standards across hardware, software, and integration content
  • Support Product Marketing to create customer-facing product/feature materials

Your profile

At ProGlove, we believe in nurturing an environment where growth, innovation, and passion thrive. Technical expertise is important, but the perfect blend of soft and hard skills makes a candidate truly stand out. Our qualifications serve as guidelines, but we're always looking for individuals who bring a unique perspective and drive to make a difference. As our ideal candidate for this role, you come with the following skills and competencies:

  • Currently enrolled at a university (Hochschule), preferably in a field related to technical communication, software, engineering, or digital media
  • Basic hands-on knowledge of technical writing best practices and information architecture
  • Strong grammar and writing (English) and basic proof reading
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g. Paligo) and and experience with version control systems
  • Interest in technical systems and comfortable working with engineers on features under development
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts in simple, clear language and using diagrams or visuals where helpful

Why us?

At ProGlove, we create human-centered technology that helps people work more efficiently and intuitively. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain practical experience with real hardware and software products used by customers worldwide
  • See the direct impact of your work on product launches and the customer experience
  • Learn from experienced colleagues across technical and commercial teams
  • Build your technical-writing skills in an agile, international environment
  • Take meaningful ownership instead of only supporting administrative tasks
  • Work in a culture that values open communication, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning
  • Benefit from working hours designed to complement your university schedule
  • Contribute your perspective and ideas from the beginning, not only observe from the sidelines

What success looks like

In this role, success means that you:

  • Develop a solid understanding of ProGlove products, users, and documentation standards
  • Build trusted working relationships with colleagues across Product, Engineering, and Product Marketing
  • Independently manage clearly defined documentation tasks and reliably deliver high-quality content
  • Help ensure that new products and features are documented accurately and on time
  • Turn complex or incomplete technical input into clear, structured, and useful information
  • Actively seek feedback, apply what you learn, and continuously improve both the content and the way documentation is created
  • Identify documentation gaps and take initiative in proposing simple, practical improvements
  • Contribute to a consistent and user-friendly documentation experience across ProGlove products

Meet your team

You will be part of our agile Product & Engineering organization and collaborate closely with colleagues working across hardware, software, integrations, Product Management, and Product Marketing.

The team brings together different technical and professional perspectives, but shares one goal: creating products and information that solve real customer problems. You will be encouraged to ask questions, share your ideas, learn from experienced colleagues, and gradually take on greater ownership as your knowledge grows.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
