Thank you for considering Progyny!

Progyny [NASDAQ: PGNY] is a leading healthcare company reshaping family building by providing innovative fertility benefits to millions of people. We are hiring a Business Analyst to join the Medical Economics and Analytics team in New York City.

Our team supports key strategic initiatives across Progyny, developing data-driven insights and analytical tools to inform business decisions and drive meaningful improvements across our product portfolio and digital ecosystem. In this role, you'll support these initiatives by conducting data analysis, collaborating cross-functionally, and presenting insights to stakeholders across teams such as Product, Marketing, and Member Services. You'll gain a deeper understanding of fertility and healthcare analytics while contributing to meaningful improvements in how we support our members.

What You'll Do...

  • Develop dashboards and recurring reporting to track KPIs, identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop mastery in Excel, SQL, and Power BI to support analysis and operations of key stakeholder initiatives.
  • Take ownership of analytical projects from investigation through delivery, proactively troubleshooting challenges, recommending solutions or next steps, and ensuring accurate, timely results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Product, Marketing, Member and Provider Services, and Data Engineering.
  • Present analytical insights to key stakeholders, including managers and directors within the team and across internal departments.
  • Learn new tools and business processes quickly while identifying opportunities to improve workflows, automate manual processes, and increase operational efficiency.

About You...

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience in healthcare, insurance, consulting, analytics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large datasets (30M+ rows).
  • Experience using Visual Studio Code (VS Code) or similar development environments to develop, maintain, and automate analytical solutions.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Looker).
  • Familiarity with healthcare and insurance terminology, employer benefits, and claims data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity to learn new tools, systems, and business processes.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or similar) to accelerate analysis or workflows.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to take ownership of assigned work, drive progress independently, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey analytical insights and proactively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to data accuracy, thorough validation, and high-quality work.
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, build relationships, and work effectively across teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
