The posting

Je werkt vanaf de Belgische havengrens tot aan de Weba en staat in voor het vast- en losmaken van schepen. Hiervoor gebruik je winchwagens en boten als hulpmiddel. Daarnaast verzorg je de bevoorrading van schepen, plaats je afvalcontainers en vervoer je de bemanning van schepen tussen verschillende locaties (havengebied, ziekenhuizen, luchthavens,...).

Je werkt in shiften van 10 uur per dag volgens een volcontinu systeem. Tijdens de eerste drie maanden werk je in daguren, daarna ook in nachtshiften. Je werkt telkens 5 dagen gevolgd door 3 vrije dagen. Voor en na elke shift ben je één uur van permanentie.

Na voldoende ervaring kan je extra opleidingen volgen om grotere schepen te besturen en bijkomende attesten te behalen.

  • Je kan werken in een volcontinu systeem met dag- en nachtshiften.
  • Je kan minstens 100 meter zwemmen.
  • Je hebt minimaal 2 jaar een rijbewijs B en mag met een handgeschakelde wagen rijden.
  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands en hebt een basiskennis Engels.
  • Je woont binnen 30 minuten van de haven van Gent.
  • Je werkt stipt en volgt veiligheidsregels nauwkeurig.
  • Je kan een bewijs van goed gedrag en zeden voorleggen. Omdat je in het havengebied werkt, word je daarnaast onderworpen aan een bijkomende veiligheidscontrole door de bevoegde instanties.
