You’ll manage key reconciliations and payout calculations, analyze program performance, and partner across Finance, Accounting, and Program Management to resolve discrepancies and strengthen financial processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to automate and optimize existing processes, provide insights to leadership, and serve as a resource to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and reconcile accounts related to profit-sharing retrospective programs.
  • Calculate and validate profit-sharing payouts in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Prepare financial reporting, variance analysis, and supporting documentation for retrospective programs.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Analyze program performance, identify trends and discrepancies, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Develop complex financial models and forecasts and communicate key findings to leadership.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Program Management to ensure financial results align with program and contractual terms.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, complete, and timely documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounting and reporting processes.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members.

Core Competencies (skills, knowledge and abilities):

  • Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting practices.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP or financial systems.
  • Ability to interpret contractual terms and translate them into accounting calculations and financial reporting.
  • Ability to analyze large or complex data sets, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Ability to independently manage complex reconciliations, reporting requirements, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and share knowledge with less experienced team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 7 or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex account reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or other relevant accounting or finance certification.
  • Experience with profit-sharing, retrospective, dealer, or insurance-related programs.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or comparable ERP and financial systems.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
