Over de functie

De dienst Integraal Waterbeleid werkt aan een klimaatrobuust en waterveilig Oost-Vlaanderen. Waterbeleid is voor het provinciebestuur een belangrijk speerpunt en daarom is onze dienst het voorbije jaar sterk gegroeid. We beheren waterlopen, realiseren onderhouds- en investeringswerken, geven water-adviezen en zetten in op data, digitale modellen en samen-werking. Met expertise, betrokkenheid en nabijheid beschermen we inwoners en bedrijven tegen wateroverlast en droogte en bouwen we aan een duurzaam, veerkrachtig watersysteem.

Als coördinator organisatie en bedrijfsvoering zorg je dat de dienst efficiënt, kwaliteitsvol en toekomstgericht kan werken. Je leidt en coacht de cel Organisatie & Ondersteuning, stroomlijnt administratieve processen en begeleidt veranderingstrajecten. Je coördineert de beleids- en beheerscyclus, ondersteunt het strategisch financieel beheer en bent aanspreekpunt voor juridische en administratieve vragen. Je brengt structuur, ziet verbeterkansen, neemt initiatief, communiceert helder en werkt planmatig en resultaatgericht. Je bewaakt daarbij kwaliteit en dienstverlening. Je maakt deel uit van de staf van de dienst, samen met de coördinator waterbeleid, de coördinator water-beheer en het diensthoofd.

Bij dienst Integraal Waterbeleid wordt hard gewerkt aan opdrachten met een directe impact op Oost-Vlaanderen. Je komt terecht in een team van geëngageerde collega’s met een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel. We zoeken een coördinator die datzelfde engagement toont, verantwoordelijkheid opneemt, mensen verbindt en ook in een veranderende omgeving overzicht en kwaliteit bewaakt. In ruil krijg je ruimte om mee richting te geven aan de werking van de dienst en een job waarin je zichtbaar maatschappelijk relevant werk mogelijk maakt. Zo help je collega’s hun inhoudelijke opdracht sterker waar te maken.

Je werkt in het Provinciehuis (Charles de Kerchovelaan 189, 9000 Gent).

Als coördinator organisatie en bedrijfsvoering beschik je over:

  • een masterdiploma
  • sterke organisatorische en coördinerende vaardigheden
  • het vermogen om medewerkers aan te sturen, te coachen en te motiveren
  • een analytische en oplossingsgerichte ingesteldheid en oog voor efficiëntie en kwaliteit
  • zin voor initiatief en verandering: je ziet verbetermogelijkheden en weet die om te zetten in werkbare processen
  • sterke communicatieve en samenwerkingsvaardigheden

Het is een pluspunt als je al eerder gewerkt hebt bij een overheidsinstelling.
