The position acts as a central coordinator and facilitator between business functions and technology teams, helping to remove obstacles, propose practical solutions, and ensure critical projects are delivered against agreed objectives, timelines, and governance expectations. The role also works with business functions to coordinate the collection of business impact, financial projection, and business requirements for project prioritization purposes, and submits the consolidated business requirements to technology teams for IT impact assessment. The role also provides regular updates and escalation to senior management on the status, risks, issues, and progress of key projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

1. Strategic Project and Initiative Management

  • Manage and drive priority projects and initiatives across the organisation that are important to the transformation agenda, commercial impact, structural improvement, or regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Define project scope, milestones, dependencies, owners, and delivery plans in collaboration with relevant business functions and technology teams.
  • Monitor progress, follow up on key actions, and ensure critical initiatives are completed in line with agreed objectives, timelines, and governance standards.

2. Business Facilitation and Problem Resolution

  • Act as a central point to collect information, clarify requirements, and facilitate alignment among business stakeholders involved in key projects.
  • Coordinate with business functions to gather business impact, financial projection, and other prioritisation inputs from relevant business owners, without being responsible for preparing those inputs directly.
  • Facilitate project prioritisation discussions by consolidating business inputs and clarifying the expected business impact, urgency, dependencies, and financial considerations of proposed initiatives.
  • Identify issues, constraints, and root causes when business units encounter challenges or are unable to resolve project-related matters independently.
  • Propose practical solutions, options, and escalation paths to help projects move forward and achieve the intended business outcomes.

3. Business and Technology Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between business functions and technology teams to translate business needs into actionable project requirements and delivery plans.
  • Submit consolidated business requirements to technology teams to support IT impact assessment, including system, resource, timeline, dependency, and delivery implications.
  • Coordinate discussions, decisions, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects progress smoothly across functions.
  • Support change readiness, user adoption, and communication activities where projects impact operating models, systems, processes, or ways of working.

4. Governance, Risk and Regulatory Alignment

  • Ensure key projects are managed with appropriate governance, documentation, controls, and alignment to internal policies and approval requirements.
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies related to transformation, profit-impacting, structural, legal, regulatory, or governance-related initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate project records, status updates, decision logs, and reporting materials to support oversight and auditability.

5. Executive Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, business functions, technology, compliance, risk, and other relevant teams to drive delivery of priority initiatives.
  • Prepare and provide regular progress updates to management on the status, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions required for important projects.
  • Act as a trusted coordinator to ensure stakeholders remain aligned and project execution remains focused on target outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Engineering, Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related filed

· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Project Management, Business Transformation, Digital Project Management, or cross-functional initiative delivery

TECHNICAL/ FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
