With a competitive basic salary, performance-related bonuses, excellent working hours, generous holiday entitlement, and an early finish every Friday, this is a great opportunity for the right person.

About the role

You'll be responsible for contacting businesses across the UK, introducing Testing Services UK and our range of electrical and fire compliance testing services, and arranging qualified appointments for our Business Development Managers.

This is not a hard-sell role.

We believe successful telemarketing is about having good conversations, building relationships, and identifying genuine business opportunities.

You'll be speaking with business owners, facilities managers, health and safety professionals and other key decision makers.

Your role is to open doors, establish potential requirements and arrange quality appointments for our experienced sales team.

Your key responsibilities

  • Make outbound B2B telephone calls to businesses throughout the UK.
  • Introduce our electrical and fire compliance testing services.
  • Build rapport and develop relationships with potential customers.
  • Identify genuine opportunities and future testing requirements.
  • Speak confidently with business owners and key decision makers.
  • Arrange qualified appointments for our Business Development Managers.
  • Follow up potential customers and develop future opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of conversations, appointments, and customer information.
  • Work towards agreed appointment targets and contribute to the company's continued growth.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Confident, friendly, and professional on the telephone.
  • An excellent communicator who naturally builds rapport.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and results-driven.
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision makers.
  • Resilient, positive, and able to handle rejection.
  • Organised and capable of managing their own workload.
  • Commercially aware and able to recognise genuine opportunities.
  • Experienced in B2B telemarketing, telesales, or appointment setting, although personality, attitude and communication skills are equally important.

Above all, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude who genuinely enjoys speaking to people.

What we offer

  • £27,000–£30,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
  • OTE £30,000–£35,000+, including performance-related bonus.
  • 35-hour working week.
  • Early finish at 1pm every Friday.
  • 25 days annual holiday plus Bank Holidays.

In Addition

  • Death-in-service benefit following successful completion of the probationary period.
  • Paid 20-minute break Monday–Thursday.
  • Full training on our services and industry.
  • Ongoing support from an experienced management and sales team.
  • Friendly, professional, and supportive working environment.
  • Opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the business.
  • The chance to make a genuine contribution to the continued growth of an established UK company.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
