We've experienced unprecedented growth over the past four decades, and it's in no small part due to the dedicated team that has helped us become an S&P 500 industry leader, the country's largest real estate investment trust (REIT), and the most recognizable name in self-storage.

Job Description

The Corporate Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving the Company’s financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and performance management processes. This highly visible position partners closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders across the organization to support strategic decision-making, evaluate financial performance, and enhance enterprise value creation.

The successful candidate will lead key planning initiatives, develop sophisticated financial models, deliver executive-level reporting and insights, and help shape the Company’s long-term financial strategy. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional financial modeling capabilities, and the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, consolidation, and review of the Company’s annual operating plan, long-range strategic plan, and periodic forecasts.
  • Partner with senior leaders and department heads to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate quarterly earnings support activities, including preparing executive presentations, guidance analyses, and supporting materials for senior management.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance integrated three-statement financial models used for forecasting, scenario planning, capital allocation, and long-range planning.
  • Perform financial analyses to support strategic decision-making, including investment evaluations, business cases, sensitivity analyses, and scenario modeling.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages, including variance analysis, KPI reporting, trend analysis, and executive dashboards.
  • Monitor Company performance against plan and provide actionable insights regarding revenue, profitability, cash flow, and operational drivers.
  • Partner with Accounting, Investor Relations, Operations, Human Resources, and other functional teams to ensure alignment between financial plans and business objectives.
  • Support board, executive leadership, and lender reporting requirements through high-quality financial analyses and presentations.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and enhanced analytical capabilities.
  • Support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of Workday Adaptive Planning and other financial planning tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, and/or private equity (will consider internships as well as academic projects)
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with demonstrated experience building integrated operating and valuation models.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate finance principles.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including executive-level presentation development.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning strongly preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience supporting public company reporting, earnings processes, or board-level reporting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity with a desire to understand operational drivers and strategic outcomes.
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation, process optimization, and operational excellence.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
