The posting
Company description At Publicis Groupe Belgium, we are driven by the Power of One: bringing strategy, creativity, media and production together in one integrated agency. More than 200 diverse experts work across four interconnected métiers: strategy & data, creative experiences, media activation and production. We believe that difference does it: bringing together different perspectives, expertise and ideas makes our work stronger. Our ambition is to make brands relevant and interesting to people, influence behaviour and ultimately help our clients grow. And ow, yeah, it’s “Groupe” with an “e”. With our group’s roots in la douce France you can expect loads of Liberté, Curiosité and Créativité. Overview In this function, you work within the fun-loving and diverse Strategy & Data team of Publicis Groupe. You will be showcasing your (lack of) music taste in multiple Spotify playlists with your colleagues while putting your knowledge and skills in outcome-driven media planning into practice. Media Planning is one of the four focus teams within Strategy & Data. As a Media Planning Manager, you take ownership of the day-to-day media planning relationship with your clients, translating their business and communication challenges into strong media recommendations together with a Media Planning Director. You work closely with Media Planning Executives and coordinate with the right experts across Strategy & Data and our media specialists at PMX to turn strategy into concrete cross-channel media plans. You are the link between strategic direction and execution: making sure the right audiences, touchpoints, budgets and timings come together in a coherent plan. Responsibilities You are the main day-to-day media planning point of contact for clients within your portfolio, with the support and strategic guidance of a Media Planning Director. Together with the Media Planning Director, you develop media strategies and translate them into concrete cross-channel media plans and recommendations for your clients. You define the right audiences, touchpoints, budget allocation and phasing, working closely with the relevant Strategy & Data and PMX specialists. You turn client briefs into clear media recommendations and can explain the rationale behind the choices you make. You collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis to ensure deadlines are met and recommendations are delivered at the expected quality. You ensure that learnings from campaign performance, previous campaigns, competitive activity and research are incorporated into future plans. You actively identify relevant test-and-learn opportunities and innovations and work with the Media Planning Director and specialists to integrate them into your clients’ plans. You take project management ownership of your media planning assignments, keeping an overview of deliverables, timings and next steps while delegating and following up relevant tasks with Media Planning Executives. You participate in client meetings and presentations, presenting and defending media recommendations and following up on agreed actions. You guide Media Planning Executives in their day-to-day work, help them develop their media planning skills and gradually give them greater responsibility and autonomy. You manage interns and potentially Media Planning Executives, introducing them to our work culture, delegating workload and supporting their development. Qualifications What makes the real difference is how you think, connect with others and take ownership. The role is always adapted to the personality, never the other way around. We can teach you our methods, processes and frameworks, but you can teach us to make them work. Given the central role you play, we do have a couple of requests: You are curious, honest, brave and generous, and you take ownership of your work and recommendations. You have a strong interest in brands, marketing, communication and media, and understand how media can contribute to broader business and communication objectives. You understand marketing objectives and strategies, the consumer–product relationship, advertising strategy and the consumer–media relationship. You have a good understanding of the media landscape and are able to combine different audiences, channels and touchpoints into coherent media plans. You are comfortable working with budgets, campaign results, research and data and can use them to make better planning decisions. You have a critical mindset and are able to challenge briefs, assumptions and previous approaches when you see an opportunity to improve the recommendation. You can translate complex information into clear recommendations and confidently present the rationale behind your choices. You enjoy collaborating with different areas of expertise and know when to involve specialists to strengthen your recommendations. You can manage projects independently, keep an overview of multiple priorities and delegate and follow up work effectively. You are comfortable guiding more junior colleagues and helping them develop their skills and autonomy. You have at least 3 years of experience within a media agency environment or in a comparable media role, with hands-on experience in media strategy and planning. You have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. You are fluent in English and Dutch. Additional information Do you believe you can make a difference and help us deliver?
