Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry Grade: Consultant Location: Inverness, Inverness-Shire Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Inverness, Inverness-Shire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
What will your responsibilities be?
This role involves working across inpatient and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings, focusing on the care of older adults. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and formulating individualised treatment plans. The successful candidate must hold Section 12 approval. You will be expected to act as the Responsible Clinician (RC), collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Experience
• Full GMC registration (essential) • Section 12 approval • Experience in old age psychiatry across inpatient and community settings • Strong clinical and communication skills
