Everpure, Inc. (formerly Pure Storage) | Madrid, Spain | Full-time | People Manager

THE ROLE You will lead the Systems Engineering (presales) team for the full Iberia business: Enterprise, Commercial, Public Sector, and Private Sector. You will partner with the Country Manager and Sales Directors to set objectives and grow revenue. You will lead the team through a shift from technical detail to consultative, business-outcome conversations. You will position Everpure as a strategic data partner to customers and partners across Spain and Portugal. You will be based in Madrid.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build and develop talent: Recruit, coach and retain a diverse team of Systems Engineers. Link each person’s growth to the team’s goals, including certifications and time to learn.
  • Align with Sales: Plan territories and forecasts with Sales leadership. Run joint pipeline and deal reviews, and put your engineers where they win.
  • Grow the installed base: Lead proactive customer reviews, adoption of Everpure Fusion, and conversations about Evergreen//One and new use cases (AI, cyber resilience, hybrid cloud, modern virtualization).
  • Own technical excellence: Oversee architecture designs, public and private sector tenders (RFPs), and proofs of concept (PoCs). PoCs need a clear plan, a defined success criterion and a fixed timeline.
  • Build the ecosystem: Develop technical relationships with partners, alliances and system integrators (GSIs) so your engineers and theirs work deals together.
  • Be the voice of the field: Bring customer and competitive insight to Product Management and Engineering.

WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIRED)

  • Leadership: Experience leading and coaching technical presales teams, with the ability to inspire and earn followership. Experience with difficult conversations and performance management.
  • Technical credibility: Solid grounding in the data and infrastructure landscape. That includes virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud architectures and databases (Oracle, SQL). You can explain complex strategy to C-level executives.
  • Business sense: Strong at resource management, negotiation and working across a matrixed organization.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Business fluent in English and Spanish.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Business fluency in Portuguese
  • Experience leading a team through a change in operating model
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes, or cybersecurity
  • Experience with alliances and GSIs (e.g., Red Hat, Nutanix, Commvault, Kyndryl, Accenture, NTT Data) or large channel partners

LOCATION We are primarily an in-office environment. You will work from the Madrid office in line with Everpure’s policies, unless on PTO, work travel or other approved leave.
