We're investing in world-class talent and AI-driven technology to get there, and we want people who want to build the future of automotive marketing with us.

The Role:

The Co-Op and Compliance Specialist is a member of the Finance team who provides cross-functional support to multiple departments throughout the organization. This role is responsible for managing co-op reimbursement and advertising compliance processes, ensuring submissions meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

The specialist will collaborate closely with the OEM team and other internal stakeholders to implement compliance updates, support new initiatives, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure advertising campaigns meet applicable OEM guidelines. This position also serves as a subject matter resource for co-op reimbursement and advertising compliance inquiries.

What You'll Do:

Co-Op and Advertising Compliance

  • Manage co-op reimbursement and advertising compliance processes across multiple advertising platforms and channels, including Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), Meta, Amazon, YouTube, Spotify, traditional media, and third-party listings.
  • Review advertising campaigns and materials to ensure compliance with applicable OEM guidelines and co-op reimbursement requirements.

Paid Search

  • Maintain a working knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM) compliance standards, including approved ad copy, keywords, campaigns, and co-op eligibility requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to identify reporting needs and support the development of co-op-related reporting solutions.
  • Maintain an understanding of Google Performance Max campaigns, including their structure, functionality, and advertising practices.

Display Advertising

  • Collaborate with the Design team to ensure advertising creative meets OEM compliance standards and approval requirements.
  • Review, revise, and optimize advertising creative as needed to satisfy OEM guidelines.

Social Media Advertising

  • Maintain knowledge of OEM-specific social media advertising requirements and compliance guidelines.
  • Develop an understanding of HUP programs and their application to Meta advertising campaigns.

Video and Over-the-Top (OTT) Advertising

  • Review video and OTT advertising assets for compliance with OEM guidelines and co-op eligibility requirements.
  • Coordinate necessary revisions to advertising content to meet OEM standards and approval requirements.

Claims Processing and OEM Coordination

  • Submit advertising materials to OEMs for compliance review and approval.
  • Prepare and submit monthly co-op reimbursement claims through OEM portals or via email, ensuring all required supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with dealership clients and OEM compliance representatives.
  • Research, interpret, and maintain current documentation of OEM compliance guidelines, reimbursement policies, and advertising requirements within the designated database.
  • Partner with the Billing team to obtain invoices, communicate necessary adjustments, and resolve discrepancies affecting co-op claim submissions.
  • Serve as a primary resource for internal teams and dealership clients regarding advertising compliance, co-op eligibility, reimbursement requirements, and claim-related inquiries.

Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop a thorough understanding of PureCars’ proprietary technology, including its functionality, processes, and reporting capabilities.
  • Identify recurring process or technology issues and recommend improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish consistent workflows, improve communication, and facilitate seamless transitions of responsibilities between departments.
  • Partner with the OEM team to communicate compliance updates, support new initiatives, and implement changes to existing processes.
  • Stay informed of developments in the automotive industry, digital advertising, OEM compliance requirements, and emerging advertising technologies.
  • Perform additional duties as needed in a fast-paced, evolving, technology-driven environment.

Organizational Relationships

The Co-Op and Compliance Specialist will work closely with the following teams and departments:

  • OEM Team
  • Onboarding Team
  • Design Team
  • Client Experience Team
  • Performance Managers
  • Billing Department
  • Product Development Team

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret complex technical, legal, and policy-related documentation and communicate requirements in clear, practical terms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet strict OEM claim submission deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy when reviewing advertising materials, financial records, and reimbursement documentation.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and apply co-op reimbursement processes, OEM compliance requirements, and digital advertising standards.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
