Why Join Q2?

Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology—and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.

What Makes Q2 Special?

Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways through our year-round Q2 ChangeMakers awards program and global moments of recognition and connection. We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. From company-wide volunteer days to events like our Q2 Homecoming Week—featuring learning, community service, and culture-building experiences—we create opportunities to connect, grow, and make an impact.

SUMMARY As a Senior Contract Manager at Q2, you will play a key role in a fast-paced, high-growth company, putting your strong negotiation skills to work every day. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing, redlining, drafting, and negotiating contracts for the Q2 sales team as well as interacting directly with customers and prospects daily. You will report to the Senior Director of Contract Operations, joining a welcoming and collaborative Legal Team. With your strong communication skills and top-notch work ethic, you will be a key part of the team.

  • Review proposed transactions with prospective and existing customer financial institutions, identify contract risks and restrictions, and recommend creative, practical solutions that address customer concerns while protecting Q2’s interests.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of customer agreements, including SaaS subscription, software licensing, support services, consulting services, and nondisclosure agreements.
  • Partner with various groups within Q2 to understand key IT, security, IP, compliance, and finance requirements, and ensure commercial contract terms comply with corporate directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Interact with Chief Compliance Officer to keep abreast of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact operations and subscription and license agreements.
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with the business, including providing advice and counsel to executives and sales professionals on issues related to subscription and licensing transactions.
  • Support day-to-day sales activities, including training and coaching sales professionals and coordinating with other groups within the Q2 Legal Department on compliance matters.
  • Assist with legal department projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of related contract management or commercial transactional experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • In-house legal experience is preferred.
  • High volume commercial transactions experience with a SaaS company of similar size and scale to Q2, including experience with subscription and licensing sales agreements.
  • An excellent negotiator with strong influencing skills experienced at drafting commercial contracts.
  • Demonstrated capability in creating and negotiating complex transactions in addition to typical sales agreements.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while staying focused on the task at hand.
  • A practical, proactive problem-solver with strong business acumen who stays confident, mature, and calm under pressure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and with a team with the highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
