The posting

Company Description

Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas has grown to be Australia’s largest regional, domestic, and international airline. Qantas has a range of subsidiary businesses that support the overall operations of the Group. The Qantas Group’s main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands — Qantas and Jetstar — operating regional, domestic, and international services.

Job Description

  • Great opportunity to build deep expertise in disaster recovery, backup compliance and broader technology risk and compliance.
  • Work across high‑impact technology, cyber and risk teams on meaningful initiatives.
  • Permanent full‑time role with a hybrid model of WFH and Mascot Campus

The Technology Compliance Analyst role supports our Group Technology teams, working closely with Product Owners, Cyber Security, Risk and Delivery teams to strengthen the assurance and governance of our technology environment. With a primary focus on disaster recovery and backup compliance, this role also contributes to broader technology compliance activities, ensuring our controls, standards and obligations are met across the technology landscape. This role is ideal for someone looking to build strong foundations in technology compliance, IT risk management and governance, within a collaborative and well‑structured team where your work directly contributes to maintaining the trust of our people, customers and regulators.

You’ll play a key role in driving and monitoring Disaster Recovery and backup compliance, as well as broader compliance activities across technology systems and change initiatives. The Technology Compliance Analyst partners with stakeholders to embed compliance requirements into BAU and delivery activities, support changes to the Technology Business Continuity Plan, assist with audit preparation and contribute to ongoing risk and control uplift. This role coordinates remediation actions, provides clear and timely reporting, and supports the stability and integrity of our technology platforms. You’ll bring a detail‑focused, integrity‑driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and supporting safe, reliable operations across the Qantas Group.

You’ll have:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in technology, governance, risk, audit, compliance, Business or Systems Analysis, Product or IT Support
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to extract insights from data
  • Experience supporting day‑to‑day compliance monitoring activities, including disaster recovery and backup compliance assessments and broader technology control assessments
  • Hands‑on experience maintaining compliance registers, documentation and routine reporting artefacts
  • Experience preparing, organising and collating evidence to support internal reviews and external audits
  • Supporting the implementation of compliance requirements within technology projects and change activities, including changes to the Technology BCP, working closely with delivery teams
  • Tracking remediation actions, following up owners and maintaining status updates for stakeholders and governance forums
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing assigned activities independently while escalating risks and issues as required

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
