Position: Power BI DeveloperLocation: Vaudreuil-Dorion, QCFlexible Hybrid Work Model: We support collaboration and connection through a hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of 2 days per week on-site.Status: Permanent, full-time (1) Build the analytics behind a growing North American business   Quadra's decisions run on data. Power BI and Microsoft Fabric are how our commercial, supply chain, finance, quality and HR teams see the business across North America.   We are looking for a Power BI Developer to build and own the reports, dashboards and semantic models behind those decisions — close to the business, close to the data, and accountable for what gets published. Reporting to the Platform Manager — Analytics (Product Owner), you will build to the standards set by the Design Authority.   At Quadra, we put people first so that together, we can reimagine what's possible. For more than 50 years, Quadra has placed its 650+ employees at the heart of its success across North America. We offer an engaging culture, a collaborative and human environment, and a high level of autonomy and flexibility. Joining Quadra means being part of a professional, innovative and passionate team, within a growing, people-focused organization certified Great Place to Work®. We have also been recognized as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies for over 20 years. A leader in the distribution of chemicals and ingredients, Quadra continues to grow with a strong commitment to its teams. If you are driven by excellence, you belong here! Why This Role Matters

You own reports, dashboards and semantic models Quadra runs on — Power BI and Microsoft Fabric — across commercial, supply chain, finance, quality and HR. You contribute to the flagship analytics initiatives: the Customer Scorecard and Demand Forecasting. You model data from our enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, transportation, finance) with the relevant Platform Managers — Product Owners. You contribute to the published KPI dictionary and to reporting governance — which question belongs in E1/DAS, Power BI or Salesforce — so definitions stay consistent and the legacy report estate is rationalised. You make accuracy and performance provable: documented models, measured adoption, no unexplained regression.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Power BI Developer :

Design, develop and maintain reports, dashboards, semantic models and DAX measures in Power BI. Develop within Microsoft Fabric (workspaces, lakehouse, shared semantic models) according to published standards. Design star-schema models and write performant SQL; use Power Query for data preparation. Consume and model data from our enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, transportation, finance), working with the relevant Platform Managers — Product Owners. Optimize model, report and refresh performance, and implement Row-Level Security when required. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues and reporting errors. Contribute to the flagship analytics initiatives, notably the Customer Scorecard and Demand Forecasting. Use approved AI tools (including Copilot) to speed up development, testing and documentation, validating the output. Participate in the full BI lifecycle, from requirements to production support. Apply established standards for data governance, security, privacy and quality, and keep definitions, metrics and business rules consistent across reporting solutions. Validate and reconcile data, and document models, sources and technical decisions. Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into maintainable solutions, explaining technical concepts in plain terms to drive adoption.

Technical Environment

Analytics platform: Power BI (Desktop and Service) and Microsoft Fabric. Current source system landscape: ERP, CRM, transportation and finance Data access: standard connectors and APIs. Building and maintaining system-to-system integrations is owned by another team. Microsoft ecosystem: Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform and Copilot. Delivery tooling: Jira, Git source control, change management and releases to QD standards.

Qualifications & Education

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI or Business Intelligence development. College diploma (DEC) in Computer Science (Computer Technology), Data/Analytics or related field. An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant professional experience may be considered. Proficiency in Power BI (Desktop and Service), DAX, Power Query and semantic modeling. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, or a demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly. Microsoft Power BI or Fabric certification (PL-300 or DP-600) is considered an asset. Quadra may support the successful candidate in obtaining an appropriate Microsoft certification as part of their professional development. Excellent SQL, dimensional modeling and DAX skills, applied to large or complex datasets, combined with a strong understanding of the business. We value this practical expertise over certifications. Experience working with data from ERP, CRM and other enterprise systems, with the ability to understand data structures, business processes, and reporting and analytics needs. Solid knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem: Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform. Knowledge of data governance, security and data quality principles. Experience with a work-tracking tool (Jira or equivalent) and source control (Git). Comfortable using the company's AI tools (Copilot) to speed up their own work. Autonomy, rigor and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences. Experience writing detailed specifications for reports. Professional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple workflows, master data, transactional data, batch processes. Assets: Row-Level Security and Power BI deployment and release processes; Python, or notebooks and data pipelines in Fabric; Azure DevOps or an equivalent tool; distribution, manufacturing or supply-chain experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
