Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs end-to-end Image Signal Processing pipeline tuning to achieve image quality KPIs through both subjective and objective evaluation.
- Applies a strong understanding of image processing algorithms and techniques, including spatial and temporal noise reduction, multi-frame capture, multi-exposure HDR, tone mapping, and sharpening.
- Leverages advanced camera engineering expertise to research, design, develop, verify, debug, implement, and validate complex camera systems, software, and system-level solutions.
- Decomposes system architectures, image quality modules, algorithms, and features to define complex requirements and specifications that improve overall image quality across diverse use cases.
- Ensures that advanced image quality, system performance, and ISP area and power targets are met. Addresses product and customer requirements for functionality and performance, supports customer feature implementations, and identifies implementation or configuration errors.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize camera systems, hardware, and software.
- Develops detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex camera projects, enabling users and customers to implement solutions effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Image Signal Processing pipeline design, development, implementation, and verification.
- 2+ years of experience in camera tuning to enhance image quality across areas such as noise reduction, dynamic range, multi-frame processing, and color accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$109,400.00 - $164,200.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
