ABOUT US

QuantWare is building the world’s most powerful quantum processors to solve humanity's greatest challenges. We do this with our unique VIO™ technology, the only QPU architecture that breaks the hardware barriers that have held quantum computing back, unlocking the path to MegaQubit quantum processors.

With VIO, we are paving the way for the hyper-scale quantum computers that will change the world. And delivering on that vision demands people who don’t shy away from tackling the hardest challenges of our time. That’s where you come in!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MES & Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), semiconductor equipment automation, SECS/GEM communication, factory automation, and equipment integration.

You will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support of MES and automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and factory systems.

You will work closely with IT, Engineering, Production, and other stakeholders to ensure manufacturing equipment and systems are effectively integrated, digitally controlled, traceable, and capable of supporting reliable manufacturing operations.

What you will be doing:

- Create and maintain MES process flows and routing configurations.

- Configure and manage Constraint Management and Dispatch Management functions.

- Support Special Engineering and Design of Experiments (DOE) functionality.

- Deliver MES solutions throughout the complete project lifecycle, including design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.

- Support integration between MES and manufacturing equipment, databases, and other factory systems.

- Troubleshoot MES issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvements.

Equipment Automation & SECS/GEM

- Develop and maintain SECS/GEM communication interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

- Build and customise SECS/GEM templates.

- Perform equipment/tool characterisation and automation validation.

- Develop and implement custom automation interlocks, including for equipment with limited VIDs.

- Conduct automation simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.

- Support semiconductor equipment integration and factory automation projects.

- Support equipment connectivity and communication using SECS-I, HSMS, and SECS/GEM standards.

Manufacturing Systems Integration

- Integrate MES, automation, semiconductor equipment, and factory systems to enable reliable manufacturing execution.

- Coordinate with Automation, IT, Production, Engineering, and equipment stakeholders to deliver integrated manufacturing solutions.

- Support interfaces with ERP, SCADA, PLC, Historian, and other Manufacturing IT systems.

- Develop and support APIs, web services, and enterprise system integrations.

- Support Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, and Smart Factory initiatives.

Project Execution & Support

- Manage technical deliverables, project timelines, risks, testing, deployment, and documentation.

- Support multiple MES and automation projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and delivery schedules.

- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, test plans, validation records, and test reports.

- Perform system and equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

- Support deployment and production ramp-up of new manufacturing systems and automation solutions.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong experience in MES architecture, manufacturing processes, and system integration.

- Hands-on experience with MES Master Data, Flow Creation, Constraint Management, Dispatch Management, and DOE.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
