The posting

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager operating across liquid asset classes worldwide. We are a technology- and data-driven group that applies a scientific approach to investing. Our collaborative culture brings together research, engineering, and financial markets expertise to solve complex challenges and build high-quality, scalable technology.

We are looking for a C++ Developer to join our ETF technology team. You will design and build core platforms, services, and infrastructure supporting QRT's capabilities in the ETF space. This is an opportunity to develop robust, high-performance systems and end-to-end workflows while collaborating with engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders.

Your Future Role within QRT

· Design and develop high-performance C++ applications and services supporting ETF-related platforms and infrastructure.

· Build reusable platform components for data processing, messaging, connectivity, workflow orchestration, and system integration.

· Develop reliable services for handling real-time and reference data from multiple internal and external sources.

· Design automated, event-driven solutions for complex, multi-stage business workflows.

· Create well-controlled systems with appropriate validation, auditability, monitoring, and operational tooling.

· Improve the performance, resilience, scalability, and observability of production systems.

· Integrate new components with QRT's broader technology and data ecosystem.

· Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-architected and maintainable solutions.

· Contribute to technical design, testing standards, code quality, and long-term platform strategy.

Your Present Skillset

· 7+ years of professional experience developing performance-sensitive applications in modern C++.

· Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and software architecture.

· Experience with multithreaded, concurrent, and event-driven programming.

· Strong experience developing and operating software on Linux.

· Experience building reliable production systems that process real-time or high-volume data.

· Experience designing APIs, messaging-based services, or integrations with external systems and data providers.

· Understanding of distributed systems, failure handling, testing, monitoring, and production support.

· Practical knowledge of the ETF ecosystem, including products, data, market structure, participants, conventions, and operational lifecycles.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Nice to Have

· Experience building technology within the ETF, asset management, investment banking, or broader financial markets space.

· Familiarity with ETF reference data, pricing data, lifecycle events, and related operational processes.

· Experience with market data feeds, financial messaging standards, connectivity protocols, or middleware technologies.

· Experience designing and operating resilient distributed systems in production.

· Familiarity with Python or another language used for tooling, integration, or data analysis.

· Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerisation, CI/CD, and modern observability tools.

Base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $300,000 per year.

QRT Total Compensation includes discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
